Which necklace for everyday?

I like the panthere for everyday but depends on your style. My everyday look is extremely casual, think athleisure solids, and while clash would look great with that (or anything), the panthere would add more interest, imo. Uh oh, now I'm feeling tempted

This is actually how I felt when I tried the panthere. It elevated an otherwise really casual and plain outfit. The clash looked like an obvious easy choice, while the panthere added a little something.

My style is super casual. I tried both options at the boutique (forgot to take a pic!) and both went well with my veryyyyy casual outfit at the time. I like bolder pieces so I’m drawn to the fun of the panthere necklace, but also like the simplicity of the clash. I think both are versatile. Both pieces are equally in my budget. Basically, I like both, but I’m curious what people here would think.

Panthere for sure. It's so unique.

My pick is the Panthere. Both are beautiful - one is new and edgy and the other, the Panthere (de Cartier) has been associated with Cartier for over 100 years. The panther is a great symbol of a classic jewelry brand and the necklace you are considering can really elevate a t-shirt or tank top but will also go very well with office attire or evening wear. The Clash is more delicate and understated which many people prefer for a daily wear look. Clash only comes in rose gold right now so I would consider the metal of other jewelry you wear, own and like on your skin tone. The panther is a bolder piece for sure and is more expensive so I’d consider price per wear and personal style in terms of wearing more of a statement necklace regularly. Do you want to layer? If so, the Clash may be more versatile. If you are one to wear your diamond bling with everything, I would go for the Panthere. In the end the Panthere is a pedigreed cat with a diamond collar and tsavorite eye resting at your throat, so I would definitely consider whether you think you will tire of this pretty kitty over time.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful and detailed perspective! I agree about the panthere elevating a basic tee or tank. It’s honestly the choice I’m leaning towards, in rose gold (I wear a mix of yellow and rose daily, so technically I could have gone with either, but I liked the subtle pink glow of the rose gold for this piece!)

The ONE thing I’m considering is the final point you raised…. Will I get tired of this piece in years to come? I want to say no. I really really want to say no!

For everyday I personally vote for the Clash, and the Panther for dress occasions. I’d add that it also depends on what is socially acceptable as day dress in the community where you live. In one community it could be an “oh, she’s wearing evening dress in daytime!” (or “cocktail before noon”) situation and an old money vs new money look. In another, it’s totally acceptable. Also, your age matters. Lastly, the Panther imho looks too intricate and too noticeable to be worn too often.
It’s better to consider wearability/acceptability before purchase so that you don’t soon become uncomfortable wearing the necklace in daytime, or otherwise feel underwhelmed with the more reserved choice. Anyways, purchase both for different occasions, just choose wisely which to get first
