Which LV purchase did you regret?

Hi !! Saw your post and was just curious , how do you like your Montaigne ? Do you use her as an everyday bag ? I am thinking of getting this bag in the Noir MM size . I worry though that this bag may be a bit to dressy for everyday use and my casual lifestyle . ? Thanks !!!

I love it! Its definitely a "dressier" bag in my eyes but I guess it depends on what you consider a casual lifestyle!?! To some that means jeans and ballet flats (in which case I think it's totally perfect) and to others that means pjs and sweats (in which case maybe a bit much!)

Thanks for the reply !!! Def. not the pj's and sweats . I mainly meant I am a SAHM so I do not wear heels and suits everyday . Mostly skinny jeans with boots in winter time . Sometimes yoga pants and sneakers on the weekends .

I have the montaigne mm cerise and love it. I carry it all the time even with my workout clothes and it works with everything. Its my favorite bag. I also love my pochette metis.

I regret the Damier Alma Pm, believe it or not. It doesn't hold as much as a Speedy 30, gets very heavy on the arm, and when I bought an adjustable strap to relieve my arm, I found that it was uncomfortable on my shoulder. Plus I didn't like how the strap pulled at the handles. The bag is best with minimal items to carry, except it's just big enough to get heavy. I wonder how people can carry around an Alma GM! Maybe the Alma BB is for me.

Anyway, I sold it. It was pretty though!

Oh... I just got the same alma in de pm with straps.. 😞but then I regret it as i should of got the speedy 25b mono it just better to carry around.. I just got it on 24/12 so not long ago.. But i got talked into heat stamp. Now cant return it 😣

I loved getting my LV pochette (the older version), but one day I tried to run errands with it, and I was trying to zip it up, fit stuff in, keep my sunnies on my head since they wouldn't fit in my bag, juggle shopping bags, and at one point I unzipped it and one of my cards fell out because my wallet wouldn't fit, and I was like, UGH! THIS BAG IS TOO SMALL! UGH!! ullhair: It's better now that it's bigger. It was a comfortable purchase for me at the time, so I don't regret it, but that moment made me sell it. All in all, I've purchased a lot of LV, and I can't say I have any regrets!!

I have the same bag and I have to agree with you. However, I like it so much that I cannot sell it. I use it in the evening and although I also have the strap I never use it. It lifts the handles as you say and it doesn't look nice. I wouldn't get the GM size though. This is such a structured bag I wouldn't be able to use it if it were bigger.

My Neverfull GM. It's just too huge! I'm always bumping into people and things. Just bought it 6 months ago but realized I'm not a big bag type of girl. I think I will end up selling it to fund a DE Speedy.

You will. I can't say I regretted buying the Alma DE PM but it is just that I use it in the evenings. It is ok though. I also have the Speedy 25 mono which fits the essentials but the one I very much enjoy is the Speedy 30 DE B. I can't fill it up. And if feels so strange as one would say that 5 cm is not such a big difference. The Speedy 25 Emp also seems to fit more than my mono 25. How strange is that???

This is a great question. I figured out that I'm an all-purpose bag kind of person most of the time. While I never quite grab my Artsy for a quick trip like the drugstore, I do reach for my DE Speedy and Delightful a lot and also use those every day. In other words, I don't tend to run around without needing or potentially needing a regular-sized bag. I like to carry something to read for doc appointments, and be on my way somewhere else for all other errands. The very rare times I pop out in my sweats, I'm sure as heck not going to want to bother with changing my bag into a smaller bag. That was what everyone said they used the pochette for, and for me, it just added a layer of something-to-do when I wanted to keep it as short and simple as possible. I think it depends on your lifestyle. If you do a lot of quick trips, unlike me, a pochette might be good. Also, if you plan to keep your pochette with your wallet inside a larger bag, and whip it out for errands, that's a good idea, too. But for me, the pochette is always going to be too small. Lots of other options, like the Favorite or Epi Petite Noe, but I'm not a fan of those looks or I don't like the price point for an errands or small appointment/excursion bag for me. I do love the look of the Eva, but not the giant plate. I look to other brands for a small-ish bag. For an upcoming LV bag, I'll probably invest in something like an Epi Noe or the new Delightful and use it as an everyday bag, too. For a smaller bag I'm eyeing the Mini Pandora.

Totally agree. It was my first Lv and I sold her later. Also there is no outer pocket so for me it did not work but that does not mean that I still don't think its a good looking bag. It just didnt work for me. Yes it does get heavy. Pretty quickly too.

I have DE Alma and Love it too !!! I try not to load it up when I carry her . Usually I carry the same as you minus the shawl + my agenda . I used her today for running errands and then out to dinner . I even carry her to the grocery store sometimes ..lol. And I can not believe how many people tell me they like my bag . Did not think she would get much attention

That's great to hear. It seems the DE Alma doesn't get much love here. I think it looks really classy. Looks like you really enjoy a handheld bag. I've realized that my shoulder gets a welcome break, so I'm currently loving ALL my alms and speedys.
