My pochette accessories for $250 during high school. It was all my Christmas money combined. I regretted the purchase initially when I was flat broke for a few months but now I have no regrets. I recently got the zipper fixed for $60 and the bag looks brand new. The same bag (a little updated) now costs $1250. It was a wise investment.

What year did you purchase if you don’t mind my asking? That’s such a steep price hike!

Mid 90ties. My first speedy 25 was $250. That is why I hesitanted buying a PA for $250. I thought I was over paying, LOL!!! If you do a search on youtube, there is a vid where a lady goes through the LV 1991 price list comparing it to 2021. It would make you cry. There is another vid going through the price list for Dior, man that is eye opening as well. What I came away watching the vid is to buy classic pieces from fashion houses because they rarely change the style but the price keeps on going up, up, up!

$250 mid 90s that’s lots of money, you could buy 3 cows for $250, how much will cost buy 3 cows today? (May not be exact, just to make an example haha)

No regrets on my PM Empriente Noir. I wasn’t in love with it when I bought it 3 years ago since it was not my first choice (I was craving PM reverse but couldn‘t find it at the time). A few months later I added reverse to my collection but in the meantime I fell in love with PM Empriente. It was just…a better bag (better made, more robust, no potential cracking concerns, low key but could be “pizzazzed” with different strap etc). Eventually PM Empriente became not my most loved but my most trusted and used bag to-date (perfect size and perfect capacity).

I spend too much time mulling most of my purchases to really regret any, but my biggest surprise in terms of how often I reach for it over other choices, and get comments on it out in the wild, is my vintage black Epi Cannes. I saw it a few times in the mid/late 90s and wasn't able to go after it then, but it stuck in my head for decades until I pulled the trigger on a preloved one for myself. I've found it to be a great size for me, it holds a lot but doesn't get uncomfortable to carry, and it looks amazing with a bandeau around the handle. Definitely a forever bag for me.
