My pochette accessories for $250 during high school. It was all my Christmas money combined. I regretted the purchase initially when I was flat broke for a few months but now I have no regrets. I recently got the zipper fixed for $60 and the bag looks brand new. The same bag (a little updated) now costs $1250. It was a wise investment.

I wanted a speedy, but was afraid of cracking near the zipper. I heard a lot of people have that issue
I have had the speedy b 25 in monogram for many years 15+ and the canvas still looks new. Even the part sewn on to the zipper looks new. I have a regular speedy 25 that is 40 years old and the canvas has not cracked. I think you are safe getting a speedy.
That bag is a workhorse and can take a lot of abuse without cracking the canvas. I think you should give it a chance.
I believe cracks mostly happen because of overstuffing and sun damage. I do not regret buying a speedy.

The Alma BB in DE. Most versatile bag I've owned.
Odeon PM in DE. I purchased it because I needed a small weather proof bag for vacation. That was almost a year ago and it is my most used bag by far. Plus, I think it’s really cute with most outfits.
My slg’s! When I first started buying LV, I would buy a bag and then wallets, key pouches, pochettes. Then, another bag. Im so glad I did with the way the price has increased on the small items. Not to say I don’t love bags…lol
I feel the same way about my SLG's! I lost my Monogram cles, though. I think I paid $125 for it new. Now it is up to $325.

This statement is so true. I am surprised how that bag is so undercover and goes with everything from the country club to local flea markets. If I was starting out collecting LV, I would buy this bag. (I have the bag) ❤❤
The bag I do not regret buying is my Neverfull MM Idylle Fusian. We went to Europe in 2012. I was going to use a small crossbody bag. On day two I was already regretting not bringing my Neverfull MM Damier bag. On day three my husband took me to Louis Vuitton in Stockholm. I looked at the Idylle Neverfull and fell in love! It was perfect for me. It was light and flexible, and the leather was so soft. I used the bag almost exclusively for almost ten years. It is still my go-to bag when I go on vacation. And it still looks new.
The LV items I have never regretted purchasing are the Alma BB and the Neonoe in epi noir (those 2 are the perfect bags if I ever decided to become a Minimalist ), the Speedy B 25 Mono, Alma PM in DE, Speedy 25 DA , my 6-ring key holder in mono, the key pouch in mono and my Victorine wallet in mono.
