Which is a better handbag - Coach or Juicy Couture?

i read the title of the thread and thought obviously its gonna be coach, but juicy really surprised me. i think that bag is really nice looking, so as long as the leather is just as nice quality IRL id say to go for that one.

Thanks everyone for all your great comments! I own several high end bags, like Balenciaga, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Fendi, and to be honest, it's so hard to down grade after owning these bags, but I need a casual hand bag that I can throw around and not have to worry or baby all the time. The Coach Slim Carly is $498 and The Juicy Tinsley is $395, which is very inexpensive compared to high end designers bag, but not too cheap that it won't last for awhile.

Do you have any other handbags that you can suggest, up to $500 or less?:s

For less than $500, I'd look into Kooba- very heavy, durable leather or Botkier, on sale. You can find Kooba's from prior seasons and some current, for less than the Coach on sale. I have had both Coach and Kooba and I think Kooba is a much higher quality bag.

I just got a Cynthia Rowley bag on sale for $112 shipped. I'm amazed by the quality-- the leather is suuuuuper soft and smooshy. It's also really lightweight and I love that it has no logos! I can't say enough good things about it :yahoo:

The one I have is the Colleen Too Satchel (mine is black leather though):

What do you guys think about this handbag from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Post Super K Patent Tote for $498, available at Saks. Not sure about how long the Patent trend will last, though.

Coach is more classic, I agree there, but Juicy to me is just plain fun. Feel much more playful in Juicy and seem to be adding more and more of the accessories. I need a seperate Juciy closet already

I prefer the Coach. Coach quality is excellent and the leather on the Carly is so smooth and soft. This is a bag that will last for a long time. Coach customer service is really good too, so if you ever have a problem with the bag, you'd be able to get it fixed or get an exchange or credit. While the Carly is a popular bag at the moment, most people have it in the signature. You don't see as many leather Carly's around and even fewer slim Carly's, if it's a concern about having a bag that everyone is carrying. Personally, I like the style of the medium Carly over the slim, but the slim is slightly larger than the medium and smaller than the large. Some people have found the strap drop on the slim Carly to be more comfortable than the one on the medium. The Carly in black leather is a really classic looking bag.

if you absolutely had to pick between the two, i don't think i'd go with the juicy couture one (even though this design is much more appealing) only because i've had back experience with juicy handbags. the last bag i bought was a black quilted one 2 seasons ago i think and one of the handles just snapped one day! so i don't trust juicy bags anymore. but honestly, i'm not into either of these bags so much. if you want to invest in a good bag <500, you could go with marc by marc jacobs, kooba, and botkier. they are fantastic!

Just MHO: Coach is a handbag specialist. Juicy is known for their sweatpants. Of these two, Id pick the coach. Its a classic, and a great basic bag.

LOL Well there you go!!! I'd pick the Coach too.

However, I do like the M by MJ bag you showed and honestly, patent never goes out of style. It too is a classic.
