the funny thing is I started this thread on the kelly... and lo & behold, i finally got one last week.


hey jag, you will join me in owning the small lambskin one... what hardware did you get? i have the one that nicky hilton is carrying, the silver hardware.
it retails for 1450. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! it's more of a e/w, but honestly, it's not too rectangular. it's so soft and smooshy, but still has some structure to it. it fits all the essentials, including a large makeup bag.

i, in fact, was going to ask about how lambskin wears in a new thread, unless any of you ladies already know. i have a lambskin wallet that has no scratches and that i bought earlier this year.

Hrmmm. . . I love this bag. It will be mine one day, provided that it is available at Bloomies.

I know that this has been asked before, but not really answered--does it come in any other color besides black and brown?

Please bear with me as this is my first Chanel bag, and I am beyond excited. I ordered the small black Chanel Kelly in lambskin because my SA said it will be more lush and even more beautiful in lambskin, especially since this is not going to be an everyday bag. Now, after reading this thread http://forum.purseblog.com/chanel/caviar-vs-lambskin-67724-2.html?highlight=lambskin+caviar , I am wondering whether I should get caviar instead.

Which would you prefer, caviar or lambskin? Even though lambskin is not as durable as caviar, is it still worth it because it is so beautiful???

Jag, if you aren't planning on carrying her everyday, lamb will be fab.
Lambskin isn't quite as delicate as it used to be and if you take even just pretty good care of it, it'll be fine.
Caviar IS more durable, excellent for daily wear, but isn't nearly as soft or Luxe.
