Looks like you got the Roadster....they are both great, but my vote would be the SS Ballon Bleu!

i figured i can't choose one over the other, they are both equally nice to me, so i pretty much just picked one, and decided on going for the roadster in 2 tone design, just because i felt it was more my style and goes with my personality more than the ballon. i agree though that the medium ballon is equally gorgeous and i wish i could justify buying both of them! you guys are great! thanks so much for your input! if im meant to get the ballon the roadster will be out of stock

any opinions on automatics or quartz? are automatic ones a headache?

While true "watch-o-philes" will always choose an automatic, I'll only buy quartz. I rotate among 3 or 4 different watches on a fairly regular basis and far prefer the convenience of being able to just select one and go. I don't want to worry about having to reset because one has gone unworn for days or weeks. Though some will complain about having to change a battery, it's something you only need to do every 5 years or so, which I'm fine with.
