I have four pairs of Frye’s and love them. Super comfortable, last forever. I guess everyone’s feet are different.

I also have always stuck to the originals. But for the one pair of heels I don’t tend to go for the “fashion” options. I have heard the leather isn’t as thick in those.

I guess probably most of the frye lovers a wearing flat boots......I require at least a two inch heel with my short legs

So the Born Gosford boots I posted above are apparently suede. In some descriptions and in the video on the born website they appear to be leather. but on the Born description it says suede. I don't think I want suede unless it's the oiled kind. They have another similar style named Magpie that is smooth leather. I hate to do returns but since I can't really tell whether either of these are going to be what I want or be comfortable I'm considering purchasing both and returning one or both.
First one is Gosford. Comes in black or taupe. Second Magpie. Black or dark tan.
Any opinions?

the only time I wear flats is for athletics or sometimes when I'm just running to the grocery store in summer I'll wear flip flops
I actually walk better in a 2-3 inch block or wedge than in flats

I ordered three pair of Born boots - usually Born are comfortable for me. Suede with burnished toe in taupe and black. Leather in black.
DH thinks the leather ones look too granny. But they're a bit more comfortable. And I've seen pics of Alexa Chung in similar leather ones (but she's younger than me)
Any opinions?

picked up these Frye boots today....similar to the ones I posted above. Work well with jeans....have to decide whether they're going to be comfortable....a bit loose on me. Better than too tight.

I can’t wear anything but a basic flat heel. These are my new “serious weather boots” that I just purchased at Ariat. They are actually cordovan but I couldn’t get the color with my phone. I’m actually wearing them in nice weather too, because I love them so much.

nice
I got some yesterday kinda similar but with a 2.5 inch heel - Bullboxers. I probably would have preferred black but they didn't have black ones and I'm on an OCD with wanting boots before Christmas

I prefer flats too. Those are so cute. I like the hiking boot look. I can't wear anything with laces that is high top. I can wear boots but not high tops. I can't figure out why. Even if I have the laces really loose on the top, I can't bend my ankle. I don't know why I don't have that problem in boots.
