Which Belt Bag??

The strap is not too long and it can't be worn cross body no matter what the height.

I have the mini, which is actually a huge bag. I have the rose gold MacBook and it can easily fit in there and zip, (I have a case on the MacBook too).

This bag gets HEAVY fast, as it can hold a lot of stuff.

I got the grey color, but to this day I wish I got the taupe color. I listened to the SA and got grey because he said this bag is hard to keep clean. But I carry it less than 1 time a month so the Taupe would have been fine. If you plan to carry this bag daily just be aware that you may have to wipe it clean a lot... I can't see any dirt on the grey.

I was just watching reviews of this bag on YT yesterday and its a beautiful bag! It made me get mine out the closet, and plan to carry it today to Target to get some ice coffee and mason jars. I have nowhere to go and nothing to do, but gonna take it to Target anyway!

Do you think it’s worth it?? Could this be an everyday / work bag or is the size just too big / heavy?

I think it can be an everyday bag for errands and lifestyle in general- but do not know if I would go for this as a work or school bag--- I would get a tote for that to be honest (LV Neverfull) that way I can throw laptop, note books, files, folders, water bottles, lunch, gym stuff, etc etc in the tote and not worry about wear and tear at all- or running out of room for everything I need for my long work day...

I think everyone should have a Celine in their collection and for this reason I would get this bag... I would prob get a smaller one though so I could use it for date night and in the evenings. I dont think the mini is a good date night bag or evening bag--- its way too big.

So to answer your question, I really don't know if this is the best work bag per se, but it is a good day time/ going out to lunch with friends or errand bag!!!.... I (personally) like totes for work.

I take my Neverfull and a smaller purse when I am working (as a realtor)...so I'm not in an office environment, I'm out in the field usually...Or, I will just take my wallet and essentials inside of my Neverfull, with all my work stuff too.

What purse do you carry now?

I would get the Dior book tote over the Celine belt bag...or even the LV On The Go Tote as a work bag...

I agree with hollyhohighly that everyone should have a Celine ( or two) in their collection! =) And that a tote may be a better bag for work purposes because the mini version of the belt does get heavy fast.

iused to own the mini belt but sold it almost immediately because I found it to be too heavy.I love the look of it worn over the shoulder but i Knew I wouldn’t reach for it. I considered the micro but I only like how this size looks when handheld. I’m 5’4”. When they came out with the nano size,I jumped on it. I love this size. Looks good crossbody and cute handheld also. Now, I’m thinking about the pico size, but hoping I don’t like it because I really don’t need another belt bag or bag for that matter!

btw, if you love the micro size but the strap length is not ideal, you can always get that shortened by a shoe repair place/cobbler.

I own a Mini Belt as well and I definitely think it could be an everyday work bag, that was my original intention for the bag but I realized I loved it too much to use it so hard (especially since it's an old logo).

For an everyday workbag, there's also the Sangle and the Cabas (Vertical and Phantom) that would work better, and IMHO are considerably lighter than the Mini Belt.

i am so glad that I found this thread. I am planning to get my next work bag and I can’t decide between the Celine Phantom Cabas and Mini Belt Bag.Initially I was between the Phantom Cabas and LV Neverfull in Mon Mono. But now I like Celine more than LV! I am so tired of the quality, the canvas and also the loud logo style.
But I just read some of your comments saying that the mini belt bag is not a good work bag? I wanna a big bag - like the size of the Speedy 35.

Should I get the Cabas or belt bag?
Can you please help me to decide?

Between the two I would get the phantom cabas tote. The belt bag in the mini size gets heavy even if you don’t carry much. I love the look of both bags, but the tote may be a better option for work. I don’t own the Cabas tote but a friend who does has admitted that it gets heavy too (Afterall it’s an all leather bag)and that she prefers using her goyards. Goyard is canvas but it’s not as ubiquitous as LV neverfulls. The Goyard St. Louis is not a work horse bag but the artois model is. If you want another less conspicuous canvas option then fair Le page has nice sturdy totes as well and they are less pricey than Goyard. Hope I didn’t complicate your decision making process. Thank you for your comments! I don’t like Goyard at all since the first time when I saw it!! Don’t ask me why because I don’t know why ☺️ Maybe I just don’t like the brand itself!!
I have the phantom and mini luggage, love both but both tend to get very heavy! But it is okay because I will just use it for work and I don’t have a long way to my office! So the weight would not be a big deal... And also I like big bags.

I am afraid that one day Celine might discontinue those bags and I would be devastated for not getting it on time! Like the old versions of Celine bags with the old logo which I do really really love!!

We don’t have a Celine store in our city, I don’t have any chance to try it except order it online! May I askif you know what is the size of the Cabas? Is it like LV MM? And the mini belt bag? Is it like LV speedy 30?

I think the smaller cabas tote is about the same size as the mm neverfull. The dimensions are probably on their websites but when I tried the cabas tote on it looked comparable to the neverfull mm. The small size was perfect for my 5’4” frame. The larger tote was a bit overwhelming imo. I have never considered the speedy so I’m not familiar with the different sizes. The mini belt is a spacious bag though. Im sorry I can’t be of more help.
