Which bags would you take with you if you had to flee to survive a zombie apocalypse?

Okay, I may not need to sacrifice myself after all. I totally forgot about my Doc's! I'll wear my tall black ones because they have a zipper and will be easy to take on and off, which would be good for when you need to get into ass-kicking (or running away) mode quickly. They have a good combination of style and function, so no need for hiking boots (whew!).

But I'm still not wearing leggings or sweats. I just can't. Leggings are for the gym only and sweats are for when you're sick and there's no chance you'll have to leave the house. I'll wear jeans which are durable and don't look like you gave up all hope of ever looking good again.

That bag is seriously bad-ass! I totally need that in my life, zombie apocalypse or no! I'm seriously geeking out on the patches.
And did you say silver knee high doc martins? We need to be friends!
No sweats no leggings, just jeans and these. Yes, “silver cato“ is a unique muted silver , chameleon color, whatever you wear they will get that glow a bit, rugged , with the zipper (unlike Thema Docs which I adore but are painful to tie every time 14 eye boots). Here they are (with YSL downtown ) and also my other favorite in purple. I do have grey, red and black too. That is all I wear in the winter since grunge era (I grew up like that) until now when I am 60 LOL.

This is my gear for the bus. I am taking the bus to work, not driving a car unlike almost everyone around me, my students in the bus ….Canadian winter, all that just puts me in a survivor mode. I don’t even watch zombie movies or anything, just feel safe in my “I am ready” gear. I teach Astronomy and cosmology….the stories of one possible appocalipse after another… knowing all that I am very happy that we are still here LOL. But in the case of apocalypse, all stupid Goyard whose thin straps are falling apart after carrying a sweater in it LOL (it was made for he beach ??? ) and clunky hardware on Miu Mius, and all those pretty but utterly non-functional totes…those will be left gladly behind, Belstaff it is for sure

I’ll wear my best bag! Maybe croc mini Lady Dior or Chanel mini.
I’d definitely become zombie Queen and would lead my fellow zombie followers to yummy dinners. And a queen needs her good bags duh

Yeah where you all are going to be hiding? Asking for my friends.
Sometimes I want to put more than one reaction. I needed at least two "Haha"s for this one! :roflmfao:

Phew, this took a lot of thought. At first I was quite distraught to think I had nothing suitable for a zombie apocalypse but then I remembered my large Givenchy Pandora. Holds a lot, fits well on the shoulder, and has a sturdy enough handle that I could spin like a top and take out multiple zombies at once. Good zippers so nothing would spill out.
I do think I need something like a bandolier though. Or maybe the banana bag by The Row. Something I could sling across my chest to hold the important incidentals like my inhaler and some zombie spray. Snacks too, fighting zombies is bound to be hungry work.
I live in Vancouver, we're used to layering clothing so I should be set there.

OMG, I saw this title and my younger sister & I used to have crazy discussions like this back in the day!

Most recently, I asked my husband something like this one day after we watched an episode of the Walking Dead. He asked me why he would want to survive the apocalypse? Honestly, I think he thought it was way too much work. Anyway, good question, but for the purposes of the discussion I wanted to know. Luckily, he's fully prepared to go on a moments notice so we are good to go!

Now, to the topic of this thread, I would absolutely take 2 Longchamp le Pliage totes--a large, long handles in a discreet color and a medium, long handle tote (in a bright color so I can find it easily) folded up inside my main tote. You never know when you're going to need to scavenger for supplies, so it's good to be prepared. I'd also grab a bum bag for essentials--Advil, crazy glue, spare contact lenses, etc.).

As I'm reading through this thread, I really feel like I need to pick up a nice, lightweight backpack. It seems like that would be handy in this type of situation.

I am in Winnipeg, hence combat boots and combat bag and a arak for this weather now.

I've never seen this Banana Bag by The Row but just looked it up and now anytime I see it, I will always think of it as a zombie slinger/slayer.

Given how much -- and how deeply, I hate to admit -- I've thought about this question over the years (since The Walking Dead era, but The Last of Us has really fanned the flames), I cannot believe I did not think of foldable nylon Le Pliage options. I mean it's truly the obvious choice due its perfect blend of being foldable and therefore nestable/packable, made of a waterproof material, and lightweight. Today I was starting to think that a Caraa waterproof convertible backpack-type bag would also be good, but some Le Pliage styles would probably be even better do the packability part.

I'm jealous of everyone who commented in this thread about cute party options. I wish I could consider anything other than what will take you through sludge and muck and what will carry all your zombie-fighting gear.:panic:

I hope this thread can empower all of us to see "investment bag" in a new post-apocalyptic light. The bags we choose now could make all the difference when humanity's on the brink

Okay, let’s be honest, I’m bringing the Babushka Chic to the party. I will be looking like your vibrantly colorful 1900s photograph, with layers of skirts on top of skirts for both storage pockets, warmth, and color. I will have kerchiefs and shawls, and scarves as skirts, and when anyone needs a sling, wound bandaged, ect, I will pull out a silk or cashmere scarf off of my person.

Of course, my zombie survival strategy is to get to a defensible area with clean running water and good soil, and join with the community or create a fortress there. So my priorities are knowledge, medical supplies, food, and clean water.

I will probably start out our survival journey with a rolling suitcase, leather duffle bag that hooks to the suitcase, and my slightly ancient Prada lambskin backpack. I might grab a Panier because it can fold flat, and hold a lot when we need a lot, aka supply runs. As I use medical supplies then I might let bags go. Or use them as melee weapons against the zombies.
