I vote for Louis Vuitton. I love the fact the bags don't go on sale, unlike the Chloe bags. And personally, I think the Chloe bags are pretty dull looking. JMO.
I think that's why I only have one MC piece (a bandeau) and not any purses or small leather pieces. I just find that the monogram is so much more versatile and classic. I think the Theda looks better in the monogram too But if I had to choose black or white monogram, I would choose white for the Theda.
I picked the LV Theda, classic styling and has no age limit. It will definitely outlive the Paddy, IMO. Can you picture yourself carrying a purse with a padlock in 5 years, maybe even less than that? A huge padlock on a purse? While I love the style (the leather is TDF) I just couldn't invest that much money on a bag that has a padlock on it! Even if you were to remove the padlock, there's still the latches attached.
There is no doubt the Paddington has a place in the handbag history/museum, though! I think if I was 10 yrs younger and won the lotto, then I'd get at least two paddys!
I'm a LV lover but I do not like all their designs - the Theda is not one of my favorites and I also don't like MC's at all. I don't own the Paddy but it is an attractive bag - however, I don't think it will last forever. I think it will begin to look dated no matter how great the leather is.
