Which bag have you been secretly wanting but don't get because of how common it is?

Yes on the neverfull. I totally am a tote girl, love the earth tones that match everything, but will not deal with carrying the same exact bag as every other mom I see at Frozen on ice.
I have an ingenious idea to get the same type of bag but be 1000% original. So my mom paints and I love her artwork. I'm going to print up two favorite paintings (altered to only sepia tones) on canvas, have an bag artisan coat the canvas and build me a tote in MM dimensions with black and brown leather trim. Damier ebene is lovely but my mom's artwork will make me even happier, plus being totally unique.

Goyard St Louis Tote.

As much as i really really wanted it, I am so dissapointed at how GOOD the fakes are now. They are easy to copy, and I am so dissapointed. Plus, here in my country they are now The New LV Neverfull - THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. Whether it's the fake ot authentic one.

I also really like Long Champ Cuir Bag, but it is also very common :(

I was just about to order a barrington nylon tote in this great black and grey print and then I discovered the goyard St. Louis tote and realized that barrington gifts did not create that print themselves and now darnit my plans to buy the savannah zippered tote from barrington gifts is ruined. It is so risky not being fluent on all the designers' styles because i often am interested in a no name bag and then find out it is more or less a dupe. Not a big problem for most, because everyone influences everyone and all that but man I lose interest if the design has no originality of its own but just blatantly imitating.

I am definitely a tote person and for me it would be the LV Neverfull but! I did purchase it. I knew the bag would be perfect for me but being my first truly luxury bag I felt like I should get something more special? I was looking at the LV Speedy Empreinte 25 which is like a grand more, but just the most beautiful to me. At the end of the day I knew I would use the neverfull ten times more than I would use the empreinte speedy (yes, it's a speedy which is common but the empreinte is just a whole other level). So that's why I picked it. I'm still awaiting my neverfull and I keep doubting myself. Also, I purchased it in DE because I didn't want anything as conspicuous as monogram, but truthfully I think the Neverfull style works better in monogram.

Hmmmm...I can't think of any specific bag I wouldn't buy because it's common. Maaaaaybe the LV mono bags?? But, really the main reason I haven't bought one is simply because they haven't called to me yet.
If one does, I'll buy it.

I will, however, avoid it bags and it bag style trends because they will tend look dated over time. I'm trying to buy forever bags that don't scream a particular year or era. So, it's not so much that I'm trying to avoid seeing my bag everywhere as it is I'm trying to avoid eventually seeing my bag nowhere - not even on my arm. LOL!

On the other end of the spectrum, I'll also tend to avoid obscure, unpopular bags even if I like them because if I want a change, I want the resale market for my bags to be good.

The Speedy 25 Damier Ebene Bandouliere. I originally had the 35 version but sold it a couple months ago because it was too big for my frame with the intention of rebuying it in the 25. But now I'm not sure since it seems like I see a damier ebene speedy on every other girl here in my area. I wanted a bag similar to the size so thinking of purchasing the Givenchy Mini Antigona instead. But not sure if the size will be comparable to the speedy.

A Glamlock that I finally got with the perfect combination to me!
However, I am afraid that this bag go out of style soon.. What are your thoughts on this specific one? I am not sure to keep it because of that[emoji848].. Though I find it beautiful [emoji7] IMG_1492590245.148424.jpg

There are no bags I would refuse to carry because of their ubiquity.
Other reasons, sure. But I don’t think like that. I don’t seek out the most obscure phone because ‘everyone’ has either an iPhone or a Galaxy. I don’t go for some indie shampoo because I want to be different from all the people using Redken.
I don’t eat Kix when I really secretly like Frosted Flakes because Frosted Flakes is too common.
The only factors that prevent me from owning a particular bag are price, and ‘ethical’ issues like...I don’t know, if I found out so-and-so designer was a child molester, I wouldn’t buy their products anymore, or if there were say a Kardashian handbag line, no thanks. Don’t care how cute it is. Things like that.
