Where to buy clothes for Euro winter?

I live in London but often go back to Paris and travel to Milan in the winter. I really don't expect snow more than one week or so in December / beginning of January so I wouldn't worry about that. Rain boots and Uggs are a must for me though (not the most fashionnable shoes for sure but in London I can't really live without them as it gets really cold) Other than that I'd say a good pair of leather boots, scarves are a must as well. My favourite coat for the very cold weather is sheerling one from All Saints (but a little pricey as I got it on sale). And then black tights if you're wearing dresses (I really like the 100 den from H&M) and warm jumpers (I like some of the Topshop ones. In general, the British high street has a lot of nice jumpers, have a look on ASOS maybe?)

I have been eyeing off some wool Burberry and Mackage coats. They are a little more than I would like to spend considering I will have no need for them back in Australia, but I guess I could always sell them when I get back.

I was thinking these in particular:

I love this one too (http://www.mackage.com/ca_en/shop-online/women/wools/adelise), but it's a bit steep for 3.5 weeks of wear
They have puffers too but as warm as they look I'm not a huge fan. Any thoughts?

Do people in Europe actually wear Uggs outside as everyday shoes? Here in Brisbane we mainly wear them indoors as slippers! I would have thought since they're not water proof they wouldn't be all that suitable either? I was thinking more leather boots?

I know winter coats are expensive, but you are there for almost four weeks, you definitely want to be comfortable right? Lol think of cost per wear since you will be wearing it everyday for four weeks, it isn't such a bad deal ;) As for the ones you posted I like the navy one best because it is longer than the others so f you choose to wear tights with a dress or skirt it will be Warmer.

As for uggs, I don't see much people wearing them, but some locals still do in the major cities. I know my cousin from Europe says that they are too expensive there so no one buys them. I actually got the ugliest stare from a Russian woman in Frankfurt towards my uggs. But like another poster said they are warm. Also, if you are going to walk a lot on cobblestone streets an you are not used to it you want a very comfortable shoe and they are obviously very comfy. Just make sure they dont look sloppy, and by that i mean really worn out, with your foot hanging off the side because this will guarantee strange stares. But if you can find a pair of nice leather boots you think you will be comfortable in on uneven streets then go for it!

Well, I assume you will only bring one coat with you that you'll be going to wear every day. In that case I would avoid a light-colored coat as it is prone to getting dirty a lot easier than a darker coat and overnight cleaning might prove difficult.
By the way, just from the looks of it I prefer the black coat but it really depends on the rest of your wardrobe.

Yes, people really wear UGGs outside! Normal leather boots are a chic alternative though.
