I bought cashmere/wool coat this summer from burberry.com and it is made in Bosnia
My wool/cashmere coat is also made in Bosnia, and I'm in love with everything about it
Does a lot of this conversation stem from xenophobia? I'll admit I'm sometimes guilty of it, too. But, as long as the quality is the same, what's the difference? Most of the factories in Italy employ the same Chinese workers who would have been working in a factory in China, anyway. The employees are trained to know what they're doing no matter who or where they are.
My only concern is whether or not the person who made my coat or handbag was paid appropriately and given adequate working conditions. Even in Italy, some factories pay their Chinese workers fewer than USD$3/hour.
Brands are allowed to say "Made in Italy" if the finishing touches were done it Italy. So, I wouldn't be surprised if my Made in Italy leather Burberry skirt was 90% completed in China. But, the quality is exquisite regardless. Don't be fooled. Just about everything is made in China these days, or made by people willing to work for next to nothing in Italy/France/UK...
All of mine have them on a leather tag on an internal pocket....which bag is it?Anyone know where to find the "made in" tag in Burberry purses? I can't seem to find it in one I just bought.
