i was in a burberry outlet today and checked this wallet out i had been eyeing on ebay.. it sold on ebay for 60 something euros and in the outlet it was for 120 Euros/167Dollars. Anyways when i saw it i was slightly disappointed and happy i hadnt bought it.. am i the only one who finds it slightly cheapish leather? dont get me wrong im a huge fan like i could stick my head in a burberry bag and smell it all day kinda but this wallet was like...are you serious? when you open flap it says on the inside quite clearly in a too big a font for my liking "made in china"... that was like the last nail :blink:

yes, sadly enough. :sad:burberry has some made in china and they are usually cheaper than the ones made in italy. at the outlet they are branded as "second-quality" items. i would never buy a burberry made in china. i always make it appoint to buy an item made from its origin. for me it's like a heritage. my quilted beaton patent pelham is made in italy. she's a beauty which never fails to catch attention whenever i use it.

I bought my first Burberry trench coat a month ago and fell in love with it at the store while trying it on that I didn't even check the tag until a week later when they finished altering it. Plus, by then, it was nearly 2 weeks after I purchased it so I couldn't return it since it was on sale.

Made In Turkey.

Well, even though it's authentic, I am going to look at the tags from now on. The quality is a lot different than say if it was made in the country of origin, which is what I thought I was paying the high price for. Burberry = brand name = quality. Well, not so.

It's a Burberry London trench so some of them are made in other countries than England, but still. I'm eyeing a trench from the Prorsum collection as I fell in love with another style. Are all Prorsum items made in England?

My knitted sweater was made in Turkey too.
I actually quite like it, the material is very rich.
The one I bought last year (made in Italy) suprisingly fell apart :/

Classic scarves are usually made in Scotland, so is mine.
My tote and trench are made in England.

Agreed. Prorsum is mostly made in Italy. All of my Prorsum pieces are from Italy.

I just bought 2 Burberry London nylon jackets and they were made in Thailand. A shirt was made in Turkey.

There is no Chinese license to make Burberry bags. Any Burberry bags made in China are made in Burberry's factories.

The price of Burberry in China is not a "lot cheaper." Don't know where you got that idea. I live in China and the stuff in the Burberry stores here is exactly the same as in the USA or England (with the exception of the clothing.... seen some Burberry clothing in China that I have never seen overseas).

It's true that Burberry has spin-off lines in Japan, but in China, this is not the case.

I was given a Buburry bag one year ago, didn't notice about where is it made in, now I figure out it is made in China, my friend said it was 500 Euro, woa for that 500 it should have been made in somewhere else not in china

My Burberry trench coat says Made In China.
I bought it at Holt Renfrew. It cost me $1600, so it is definitely not fake. :P
I have lost love for Burberry, since they are now making products in China.
What ever happened to the good old made in London or Italy?
