Where do you buy your J12, quartz or automatic?

It's just a matter of personal preference. My Cartier is a quartz and I specifically wanted it that way.

True ~ plus I don't wear the same watch everyday so I feel quartz would be better for me as I wouldn't have to worry about winding automatic watches. Does anybody know whether the J12 automatic is self-winding? I guess personally it doesn't matter to me either way, though it seems to me that automatic watches have a higher perceived value and seems more desirable, plus people who spends thousand of dollars on watches mostly expect automatic as opposed to quartz which is why I am thinking carefully before I make my decision.

I have a black 38mm with diamond indicators in auto bought it from a Chanel boutique, I think its much better to buy from a Chanel boutique as they have international warranty!

as far as movement is concerned, most people find it silly to pay so much for a quartz moment but it actually keeps time better anyway! Its better to go with the size that suits you more because to be honest buying a J12 isn't really about buying the movement, its more about the look of the watch more than anything else......

I have a J12 33mm purchased from Saks, and J12 38mm purchased from the Chanel Boutique, I wear the 38mm much more only because is larger, but for Chanel watches I like the quartz movement alot better only because is easier than automatic movement IMO.

I bought my 29mm with diamond markers from Saks - this size only comes in quartz, which I love not have to think about winding.
