That's exactly my experience. For the first time, they need a fax with a signature and from then onwards the credit card over the phone is enough.

:yahoo: This is a great news! I've always wanted to buy a twilly, but being in Italy I couldn't order it directly from the site. Btw, do you know how much retail twillys in boutiques? In H website they go for €86.00, which seems a very good price to me.

Found this thread just yesterday, hence the bump. So I sent a question to Hermes and this is the answer I got today:

Hello,

Thank you for visiting Hermes.com.

At the time, only the French, German and British websites are open. However you will soon be able to shop on line for delivery in Belgium, Switzerland and the Nederland. All EU countries are not concerned, but we are expanding shopping possibility and hope to open to other countries in the future.

Again, thank you for your interest in Hermès.

I think they may ship out of Paris HQ. The UK Hermes site only started a few months ago and I assumed that it would be the UK stores that would do the dispatch. But my parcel came from Paris and they rang me to check the order before they sent it.

The stock on the UK site mirrors what is available on the French Hermes site so it will possibly be the same or they'll do a Europe wide site and scratch UK & France only. Time will tell but I'm so pleased that everyone can order away to their hearts content soon. :tup:

Well, they now have the German site up and running (still not European wide but better than nothing....). I wonder how long it will take for them to get the European thing sorted out. It was supposed to be a couple of months in February and now we have September! Hrmpff!

:yahoo:looking forward so much to ordering some of my goodies directly from hermes.com!! Altough it certainly will not be as nice as to buy at my local store with the nice SA (and a glass of champagne :p). BUT: for last minute buys or for items my store never seems to have it will be a great addition!

hi sorry if anyone else has posted this but luxury-shops.com are in germany so you don't have to pay import tax unlike if you aorder from luxury-zurich. also dmwnz (or somethin lie that1) are also in germany and i have ordered stuff from them before without any issues. good luck!
