What amazes me is how often "judgmental" is thrown around on this forum if someone expresses an opinion contradictory to the one held by the person or persons issuing the "judgmental" label. I can only assume it's expected to be the final word but how can you cry, "judgmental!" without being so yourself? Just wondering......

i said some comments were judgmental because they brought up her personal life to explain her bag's condition, which we're not discussing and is wholly unnecessary. no one was called out. at the same time, when you're expressing your opinion, don't be surprised when someone else expresses a differing view. just because you state your opinion does not mean anyone else can't react to it. this isn't about fair.

the traditional view of an hermes bag is classic, clean, refined. yes, i agree with you, but when anyone buys a bag, they make it their own. at least i hope so. bags don't come with directions. one can wear it any way they choose.

For one, I didn't say people couldn't react to my post, but there is a difference between getting attacked by a replier's post, and to respectfully disagree. Let's all respectfully disagree instead of calling someone else's posts judgmental.

To be honest, I do cringe a little whenever I see an abused bag on eBay or walking around town, etc. But it's true that everyone has the right to treat her bags as she wishes. Some people baby their bags, others throw theirs around. To each her own.

I think it matches her, theres nothing wrong with one making a bag her own, in her case, it may be a little unsightful for some of us, but it still is her bag nontheless. its our opinion so theres no right or wrong but who are we to judge HER and HER bag.

I really don't see why her bag looks that bad, maybe I'm just blind but I don't see it. I certainly don't think it makes her look "undignified." Bags are going to get normal wear and tear, just like cars and houses do even if you try your best to keep it nice. Stuff happens. I'd rather her use it than just throw it away and buy another when it's not shiny and new anymore. Would you rather see it end up in a landfill?

because to make a comment about how terrible a condition a bag is in is one thing, but to say that she's ungrateful and/or to insinuate that she treats her bags as badly as she treats herself is, in fact, judgmental. i don't see how anyone cannot see that.

if you think the bag is dirty, fine, it is! but to make assumptions about who she is as a person based on the condition of her bag is judgmental. i'm not throwing around the word for kicks, and just because i made that statement, doesn't mean i don't respect others' point of views. it also doesn't mean i was making a blanket statement about everyone who didn't agree with me as judgmental.
