Kelly 28/ B30 has always been the right size for me. I wear my 25KBs less. I prefer sellier Ks, so with the exception of only one BBK28, my other kelly bags are sellier.
But, these days, everything feels heavy, so my Goldilocks bag is DHs Sac a Depeches 21. A high crossbody
ETA: I put very little in my bags, so as not to add more weight
I do have one 32K and one 35B, but rarely use them
I prefer to carry them by their top handle but I do occasionally wear them crossbody.

I started to be more serious about weightlifting for health reasons recently and yes! Really does help!I have to say the B30 comes in at a verrrrry close 2nd on my list.
It is definitely the optimal size in Birkin for all of the reasons you stated, hands down.
The only exception in my collection is my Clemence B30. Sadly, she is just too heavy... I always pick another bag to carry.
But she will stay with me forever because she is a SO and I don't have the heart to sell her.
Maybe I need to go lift some weightshahahha
I do get what you’re saying about the Kelly. I love love love my B30s. The other day I took my K32 out and just looked at it. I wonder if anyone has studied the proportions of the Kelly because just looking at it makes me think “perfection”. It is also a very useable bag with multiple ways to be carried while still looking gorgeous and chic.
As for my Goldilocks back I still am searching. I love each of my h bags and in their own way. Right now it might be a B30 but your posts have me thinking about a K28 sellier!

Since I’m petite, K25 seems to be perfect and proportionate for me. Up until recently I was confident it’s seller, but I got a retourné and I’m also loving the more casual vibe. If I had to pick one then it will still be sellier.
Hmmm, tough choice. I love the functionality of B30, but B25 also carries my essentials and I feel it looks more proportionate on me since I'm petite. I love the look of K25 sellier, but sometimes find it hard to fit all of my dailies and I usually have to pair down the contents of my cosmetic bag when I carry this size. I love the K28 both seller and retourne but find the K28 retourne the most functional and easy to use, easy to carry. I don't have a K25 retourne yet. The 35's both B and K were too big for me and I've since rehomed them.
So, having said all of that, I guess my goldilocks bag is the K28 retourne. The B25 is a very close second. I may have a change of heart though if I get a K25 retourne at some point.

24/24 29cm is perfect for me. The bag fits all my essentials and extras without feeling like I am playing Tetris. It is discrete. The hardware adds the right amount of pop/interest. Add an Etsy custom crossbody strap and the bag is perfect.
I don’t carry very much at all, so it’s probably a B25. I love the B30 but it’s too big. I also love my sellier K28s but I don’t tend to reach for them and my sellier K25 is a bit too small.
