Cosmopolitan, your collection is TDF! That pearl necklace is stunning.

I just received my first DY piece - a prasiolite petite albion necklace. It's so gorgeous! What is the best way to clean this piece, especially behind the gemstone? How to clean the silver? Is it ok to wear it in the shower?

I'm such a DY newbie. :) Can't wait to get more pieces! :wlae:

Thanks, and congrats on your David Yurman necklace! Very pretty!

I wouldn't recommend wearing your piece in the shower. I'm sure there are people who do it, I'm just really careful with my jewelry. I never put it on until I've got all my cosmetics application/hairspraying  finished, and I store it in an anti-tarnish lined jewelry box.

I would recommend just occassionally polishing your piece with a silver polishing cloth. If the gem/diamonds get dirty, you might try rubbing lightly with a toothbrush and a gentle dish detergent from time to time. You really need to avoid harsh cleaners with this type of sterling silver, because they can remove the oxidation (the darker accents).

Me mom just bought some diamond 18k gold quatrefoil earrings at the DY outlet in Woodbury Commons. Even with over 50% off, it was $2740 w/ tax

i agree with cosmopolitan, i would not wear that necklace in the shower. i also treat my DY jewelry well and i dont find that my pieces get very dirty (especially my enhancers). i got a new bracelet for christmas and was nervous to put it on with my old one thinking that it would be so obvious that one was new and shiny and the other was old and gross but they both look great.

i love everyone's pieces, i am so excited to see that there are other DYur fans here, i'm a little obsessed!!

Hi Cosmopolitan! I LOVE your collection and as a newbie DY fan it is very enviable:) I've been looking on eBay to see if I can find any legit pieces but am so wary due to the overwhelming number of fakes there! Even with receipts, etc you can never be sure these days. Thank you for posting your collection!

Megadane: Thanks for the compliment! ;) I'm really nervous about eBay. My advice would be to just go slow and buy your DY pieces one at a time from reputable retailers.

bullshopper: Please post pics of your pieces! Share the love!

^ Great collection!

I have a few DY pieces. I have two necklaces - one is the cookie necklace with a citrine stone (my birthstone) that I got from my BF for Christmas and the other is an acorn necklace. The cookie necklace looks like this:

I have 4 bracelets: three 5mm bracelets (one with pearl tips, one that is a hook closure, one with a gold station on top) and a toggle bracelet with a heart on it.

Pearl tip

Hook closure

Single station

Heart Bracelet

SuLi: Thanks for posting! Nice collection. Isn't it great how all the bangles mix-and-match with each other? I also like how the gold accents help me coordinate with any handbags that I own with gold hardware. (Like, say, the Ramona.... ;) )

Perhaps I'll see you around D.C. in one of the D.Y. jewelry departments one of these days.

Hahaha...I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a patent bordeaux Ramona. :smile1:

Cosmopolitan your collection is beautiful! I just started mine in December, and these are the two pieces I have. The stone in the ring is a peridot, and the end caps on the bracelet are also peridots.

What a lovely set! Green is my all-time favorite color. (I have a couple of DY bracelets with green stones, but no peridot.) Enjoy your collecting...
