What's your bag buying reference?

If it costs more than $100, it has to last style wise (trendy bores me to tears usually), and it has to last in general (durability). I know my taste and buying habits so I avoid trendy merchandise, and I'm not remotely tempted by any of the "it" bags of the moment. They may be nice, but I would kick myself down the road if I bought one.

I shop the bag not the line KWIM? I have bags in my collections from a long list of designers. If a bag catches my eye and it is made well I will buy it. However, if for some reason the bag is not made well I'll pass it up.
