Made an account just because I saw this post and recently had the same dilemma! I knew I wanted an LV bag but didn't know what would be best for my job. An SA went through every option that would fit my 13" macbook (my #1 requirement, since I'm an assistant and need it at all times) but also had a zipper and looked professional. I got the new Popincourt MM with the black trim and I am obsessed, its everything I've ever wanted in a designer bag, plus I've never seen anyone else with it, which I love. Please let me know if you have any questions about it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. The Popincourt MM has been on my wish list to use exactly as you described, so I'm happy to hear that you are enjoying the bag. Is there enough room to hold some paperwork and a writing pad in addition to the laptop? Do you find yourself primarily hand-carrying it or using the shoulder strap?

I saved up to purchase my first designer handbag finally.I work from an office, I go to business meetings and sometimes to business events after work. My bag should work for every occasion.
It should carry:
- 13" Macbook
- Medium water bottle
- Snacks
- Small cosmetics pouch
- 2 medium planners
I'm not a tote person ( aka I hate them), so I don't know where to go...
I was looking at a Speedy 35B or a vintage Randonneé, Montsouris ...

My speedy 35 B monogram is the perfect alternative for a tote bag (I have the neverfull for work and other occasions)
First of all because the speedy B is hands free so it gives you a bit more freedom and you can also wear it after work.
Maybe speedy 40 is even better for you, if you want it to fit your MacBook
I use the middle zippered compartment for normal handbag things like my wallet, phone charger, snacks etc, but I slide my laptop into one of the outside compartments and can easily fit folders/a pad into the other outside compartment as well! Also, even though the top handles can be tucked in, I keep both the handles out and the strap attached at all times because I switch back and forth so frequently. When I'm out shopping or have to carry multiple things I'll usually keep it over my shoulder but I also like to just carry it in the crook of my arm as more of a fashion statement. It's SUCH a sleek looking bag and I love how it has more structure to it than a lot of other LV bags of its size, so glad you're considering it because I feel like its so underrated!

I vote for the Speedy 35. It’s a classic look and holds a lot but very light weight. Another plus about the Speedy is that it’s great to use when you travel. Fits nicely under the seat and it holds all your essentials and more. Speedy is just a great all around bag.

2 things happened, since my post.
1.) I went to the store, to check out the options. In the end, the speedy 35 looked ridiculous on me. The SA suggested to just check out the Neverfull MM. Funny it is, but I fell in love. So maybe I don't hate totes that much... hahaha
But the second thing broke my heart, and at this time I don't want to buy anything. Not long ago I finally got my first LV piece. It's a vintage pm planner, and I worked really hard to buy even that piece. On Friday I went in and left it there to get it hot stamped, as it is my first piece and want to have to forever and ever to remind me all of the hard work I did.
Today I went in to pick it up. Both SA's were really nice and showed it to me. The hot stamp is in a completely different place and not even straight. I said to them, that this isn't the place I choose. One of them was like " ooh we couldn't do it there so that's why it's in a different part". I didn't say anything in the store, because it's done, there is no going back.
I'm just devastated now... I know it's stupid, and silly and I sound like a b*tch, but they didn't even call me to ask what I want... This is my first piece and dreamed about since I was a child... now it's ruined and don't want to even look at the bag...
So at this point, I decided I don't want to buy anything. I'm so sorry for this long rambling, but nobody understands it, even my boyfriend is saying get over it... Am I really stupid and crazy?

Longtime lurker, first time poster here! OP thank you for posting this thread because I am having a similar dilemma.
As a present to myself for a new job I'd like to buy myself a new work bag. I don't carry a laptop but I do have a water bottle, wallet, cosmetic pouch etc. I prefer DE or black empreinte (but that certainly raises the price). I love the top zipper and outside pocket of the Iena MM and DH liked how it looked on me, but I wish it had a little more...pizzaz? Thoughts appreciated.
Also, so sorry to here about your hot stamp disaster! This is NOT ok! Did you talk to the SA or the store manager? Even if the stamp is wrong it doesn't erase the hard work you put in for it. Think of it like a scar. We gather imperfections and they become part of our story.
