Whats the best bag for work?

I'd go for the Damier Speedy 30, very understated yet striking all at once. But it may get annoying as it's handheld. If not go for the NF GM (or MM) or BH. The Bbag Giant City sounds luscious as well (though I've not seen one IRL)

Definitely go with something Damier-- perhaps the Speedy. Alternately, look at EPI leather. Mono is WAY too flashy for your first job.

I am also 24 and working an entry level position. I have a Monogram Speedy 30 which is great -- holds a TON - blackberry, day planner, flip flops!! bottled water, etc. I'd suggest you consider a Speedy 30 Good luck out in the work force!

seems like damier is the winner right now~ I think I'll kick out the mono neverfull & batignolles horizontal- the reason I considered them in the first place is b/c they are large enough to hold documents, but it seems like nobody thinks that's a concern?

still debating between the damier speedy and ribera though...speedy has the size but I like ribera mm much better as it's less common..:s

HmMmMm...well first off, congrats on your new employment! and second, have you thought about the Passy GM/Madeleine GM? I believe both are big enough to hold documents and if you're looking for subtlety, Epi is the way to go!

I agree, the epi Madeleine is subtle, professional and can easily hold documents (essential for entry-level accounting).

I vote for the Passy with Madeleine being a close second (but with my mother-in-law sharing the name Madeleine I'd personally stay away, lol!). This post made me re-examine the epi line -some great work bags!

I think out of the ones you listed I would go with the Damier speedy. Make sure to put a base in it so that it does not sag, since that would kind of clash with your professional attire. If you need to carry documents, I would say the sac plat in damier would be best.

I’m on the market for a new bag! Except this time I need a bag for work that can hold documents or perhaps even a mini laptop.

Needs to be quite brand-discrete, yet sleek so I’ve narrowed my selections to Epi leather (though I’m still open to any other suggestions).

I made a list but would love to hear what others prefer/suggest:

- Epi black Alma (Pro: hand-held, fits my laptop. Con: doesn’t fit legal documents)
- Epi Passy (Pro: I love hand-held bags. Con: doesn’t fit legal legal documents)
- Epi Passy GM (Pro: fits legal documents. Con: isn’t hand-held)
- Bourget City Bag
- Sac Plat
