What's the bag that got away?

Thanks to the pre-owned market, I have changed my thought process from the "one that got away" to the "one I'm on the hunt for."

This recent acquisition is a testament.

Awesome!! This is exactly my philosophy! So far nothing has really gotten away. I'm tenacious... I'll search until I find it! ;)

Most recently for me, it was the L.V. Mews bag.
It was the first bag ever that I actually had a dream about buying it directly in the store.
I wanted to get that bag for my birthday in March and according to L.V.'s C.S. it's gone now. :(
I could kick myself for not jumping on it while it was in stock.
I guess I will have to be on the lookout for a pre-loved Mews now.

The LV White MC Greta. God, I really love that bag so much and still do. :shucks:

In 2010, I ended up buying a Black MC Chrissie MM first as it was a seasonal bag, taking for granted that the Greta, being a permanent item (back then), would be around for a while. Time passed and I found myself buying other bags, but never the Greta... Oh, how I regret! :crybaby:

I'm also even sadder that the MC line has been axed... It was my favourite line out of them all!

In high school, I had this gorgeous, all leather black bag with my first initial on it in hot pink. It was by a "no-name" designer (can't remember who right now) and I got so many compliments on it. It was stolen twice. The first time was in 9th grade, and our school resource officer found it in the trash can of the boys' restroom. The second time was in 11th grade. We were in rehearsals for a musical, and someone literally walked in off the street, took my bag and a couple other girls' bags, and walked out. Never saw it again.

Yeah, it was a no-name, but it was such a cute, functional little thing.
I think I have that bag. Only mine came in blue. I think I actually still have it!

Oh god, the Louis Vuitton Watercolor Speedy 30. I saved and saved (I was 16 then? Maybe 17? aha) until I had enough for my first Louis Vuitton purchase. I ended up getting a classic Monogram Speedy 30, but to this day I realize I could have saved a little more for the Watercolor (I had a well-paying summer job). To this day that's my dream bag and I almost had it.

I had a few but all of them stopped bothering me once I got more heavily into Hermes. Now I am glad I can put the money I would have spent on them towards that.
