I am just exiting the “diaper bag” phase of my life, which required totes at all times. I have fallen back in love with my Evelyne PM! It is so comfy to wear, fits a lot, and it goes with even my most casual outfits (which is important since I’m not yet out of my WFH mom athleisure phase  ).

Ah, I remember the liberating feeling of exiting the diaper bag phase! Enjoy rediscovering your other bags!

I LOVE my Saut 25 which is my mini bag. But each time I use it, I spend half an hour playing Tetris as I am more of a low maintenance person who don’t think and throw everything into a large bag.

Anything within the strap fits into the bag (shawl is a giant triangle, foldable shopping bag, keys, calvi duo, tissue and lip balm, plus phone). Sunglasses will be on all the time as I am heading into the heatwave and the book will be in my hand.

PS: I think there is a thread about what fits in a bag? Unfortunately can’t find it.

The Evelyne TPM definitely requires the art of curation! Definitely not as deceptively capacious as my Mini Lindy for sure…

Here’s what’s in my Mini Evie!

1) Louis Vuitton Christmas Animation Round Coin Purse - containing coins (shock!) and a short charger cable
2) Wet Wipes
3) Pebble power bank
4) Armani lip balm
5) Louis Vuitton travel perfume
6) Alessi Cat bag hook
7) L.A. Bruket hand cream

Wow. I love the bag hook. I'm gonna buy one now!

Here’s what’s in my bag lately, really slimmed down to the basics where I can close my bag (with the dangles) without causing any indents.

Bag: Mini Kelly II 20

IMG_0388.jpeg

What’s inside:
- calvi duo verso
- 4-pocket card holder (forgot the name)
- a tiny dust bag I’m re-using that held…something I forget - but I use it to carry my Clou d’H pendant necklace and cape cod watch if I ever want to spruce up my look
- travel tums (IYKYK 😂)
- hair tie
- glasses cleaner

I go without an insert on the bc I live on the edge with most of my bags and it just seems so small to have one! 😅 I really only use inserts for organization on my larger bags (K28, Evelyne PM)

I have an organizer insert in each of my Birkin 25s to help keep the interior clean (for my retourne bags, I use thicker inserts that can also help with structural support; whereas for my sellier bags, I opt for thinner and less expensive inserts because they take up less space in the bags and sellier bags don’t need the structural support).

Then, I usually put my items in a Chanel holiday cosmetic pouch and slip the pouch into the Birkin because:

1) the Chanel pouch is a perfect fit that fills up almost the exact interior length and width dimensions of a B25 insert (the pouch has been released in the same size every year in different colors and I’ve accumulated several).

2) Since the pouch has almost identical length and width dimensions (it’s just a teensyyy bit smaller length and width-wise than B25 inserts), it helps provides additional structural support to the Birkin in the event that the bag gets bumped (because much of the bag is filled out perfectly by the pouch so it’s almost like having a firm bag pillow inside the bag to protect the structure like a barrier to how far the bag can be pushed inward).

3) Having my items zipped inside the pouch gives me privacy when someone has an overhead view of my open bag and also gives me a sense of security that someone can’t just swiftly reach their hand in & out of my bag and snatch loose items out if I happen to not be paying attention.

4) I personally prefer looking down and seeing a pouch to seeing the clutter of my loose items.

5) In the event my bag is tipped sideways or upside down, the items wouldn’t fall/spill out because they’re zipped inside the pouch.

6) When I want to get my items, I don’t need to paw around with my hand trying to find loose things in the bag and risk affecting the structure or interior leather of the bag by doing so repeatedly over time. Instead, I easily lift the pouch up out of the bag to get an up-close view, unzip, access my items, re-zip, and gently slip it right back into the bag.

7) The pouch holds quite a lot (and I probably wouldn’t fill up a B25 bag with more than what the pouch fits anyways since I don’t like to overfill/pile up contents all the way to the top of the Birkin) … I even keep a bag raincoat in every pouch.

8) In the event I need to carry a few more items than what fits inside the pouch, or want quick access to my phone without getting it from inside the pouch, there is still room to lay a few things flat on top of the pouch without the Birkin looking overfilled.

I really like my little B25 pouch system. It works well for me. And I happen to have a separate pouch for every B25 I own so I even keep the pouches inside the bags when I store them because it’s kind of like having bag pillows in them that don’t at all push outward on the Birkins or risk altering their shape.

Hopefully this is helpful to someone else who is contemplating ways to carry their items in a B25 :flowers:

Do you have a perfect pouch for the B30?

I’d like to add that I’m using a B25 sellier today and since I use a thin insert in it, there is still also room to slide my phone and/or cardholder all the way down in the insert behind a completely filled-up pouch without pushing outward on the back of the bag. 😊
