I bought this off eBay (authenticity guaranteed by eBay / authenticated) and somehow missed this massive issue with this pierce of hardware. Everything else looks great. I can't return and I want the bag (paid 1k LESS thank fashionphile as "very good" stock) what would you do to fix? The vaschetta on the bag is perfect, I think the previous owner must have sprayed it with apple guard but didn't cover this hardware. Should I try to remove tarnish? Bring to LV store for repair? I know this bag is discontinued. Send it to a bag spa to replace the piece of hardware with something similar? Spray paint it? I'm super mad this wasn't listed in the bags condition but she did make lots of comments "used, do not expect a perfect bag" and "review images carefully". So it's partly my fault. I was trying to decide between 2 (same seller) at the same price point and was comparing vaschetta wear and somehow my mind registered this as a reflection and not the actual mess that it is.
Thank you

Try some Brasso. Failing that get a quote from a bag spa if you can’t live with it? Was that in the description or photos in the listing?
Nope not listed in description just a warning that it's not in perfect condition bc it's used and to check photos carefully. I just ordered some and will try, thx
* this is the sellers photo that I somehow overlooked, bag gets delivered to me tomorrow

I’d look to replace the buckle. Or buy a replacement strap. But would probably end up living with it!
It's the bumbag so I don't think the strap can be replaced. I just know once I alter the bag by replacing the hardware piece with something non-LV it will be considered altered and many re-sale places won't take it

If this was mine, I would first try some brass cleaner. My speedy locks and hardware got suuuuper dark out of nowhere and I panicked. Used a little brass cleaner and boom, good as new!
