My husband and I intermittent fast and eat 2 times a day, and no snacks. We save so much money LOL.
I can't give up snacking. We eat a big lunch. I don't eat breakfast and I could skip dinner, but DH always wants me to cook dinner.

We bought eggs last week for $4! There was a one dozen limit.

Yesterday we bought See's candy - $174 worth! It's a lot less candy than you would think, just 2 boxes. This is getting ridiculously expensive!

I can still get eggs from Sam's or Costco for under 8.00 for 18, or under 9.00 for 24, depending on the type. Sometimes they're sold out though.
But that candy price is crazy!

My DH and I used to love snacking. We found out through a lot of research that even though our fasting glucose numbers were good, we were still insulin resistant by all the clues I won't get into here. Basically, we wanted to reverse insulin resistance, and so we started a keto/carnivore-ish/mediterranean-ish diet. Basically animal protein, plenty of good fats, and veggies. No grains, no fruit(because we were insulin resistant, even small amount of it would spike our postprandial glucose, and gave us food coma), no seed oils. With this diet, there is no sluggish food coma.
When we eat our meals, we don't stuff our faces, but we do eat until completely satiated. That makes us not think about food for at least 4 to 5 hours. Then we eat our dinner. What I learned is that if we are nutritionally deficient(especially protein), our bodies constantly crave food. Because we eat plenty of food highly dense in nutrients, we can even sometimes skip dinner! Sometimes we have to make a conscious choice to eat, so that we don't lose too much weight. This has never happened to my DH and me before when we used to eat added sugars/carbs/grains.
The amazing result: My husband's tummy has become flat and his body looks like Bruce Lee now!
I have lost so much fat from my tummy area that when I try on clothes, the waist area is always too big(now at size 0 or 00)! Before this lifestyle, we both had plantar fasciitis, knee pains, back pain, and joint pain. Those are all gone!
We have both worked ourselves to the point where we sprint 2 to 3 or 4 times a week, because sprinting works the fast twitch muscles, which is very important as we get older. Fast twitch muscle atrophy is what mostly causes seniors to be wheelchair bound. Plus sprinting makes our muscles to get defined!
My DH and I can't believe how we feel so much better than when we were in our 20s!

It was hard at first, but it definitely gets easier!
So short story long(LOL), we don't snack.

You got some cool things!!!
Thank you! Love the stuff I got. I do binge shopping. Moussy Vintage denim, Rag and Bone Miramar printed denim, Alice and Olivia Beatles T, Velvet top and jumper, Celine cap, and repaired LV toiletry 26. I have another pair of Miramar jeans coming. This has got to be it for a while. I’m putting myself on ban island.

Thank you. Sometimes you’re just in the mood to shop. KWIM?
It’s my aunt’s but she never used it. It’s from 1996 and only done in DE for the DE centennial. I have never checked for it in the preloved market so maybe there are some out there. The leather lining had completely disintegrated since she is from a humid climate. They completely replaced it with the plastic coated lining but transferred the original tag over to the current lining. And they replaced the zipper as well. Took three months and cost $490. It’s old school pieces like these that make me want to buy classic LV monogram and DE again, before the internet was even a thing. I remember in 1990 buying my first LV wallet and then in 1993 buying myself my first monogram bag. And seeing my mom’s first speedy 25 in 1977. People just wore what they wore. Now it’s “quiet luxury” and “no, quiet luxury is on its way out” and blah blah blah. And to be fair the price increases and the “limited accessibility” game is ruining everything. Sorry. Getting off my soap box now.
I just did a quick search and saw a couple pop up. There are some available, one on FP also with interior damage.
