Small Lady D-joy bag in ethereal gray. I wasn’t planning on getting a lady d-joy but fell in love with this color and size!
I bought the medium lady d-joy in red from Harrods yesterday but I must admit I have some buyers anxiety today. I had originally planned to buy the d-lite shown here but the strap was a bit annoying, it was too short for cross body and it didn't lie flat on my shoulder as a shoulder carry. I thought the d-joy was just beautiful and had a lot of functionality. But the d-lite would withstand rainy Manchester. did I make the right decisio?
I think you should exchange it for the D-Lite because you'll use it more (because you may not use the D-Lite when it rains). I don't think the D-Lite looks as good crossbody because of the size of the medium Lady Dior, making it look a bit bulky if it is worn crossbody. Crossbody wear looks better with the small, mini, and micro Lady Dior bags.
I just got so busy right after the holidays so I forgot to post my new baby here.
After years of thinking what Dior bag I should get as my first, I settled with the queen. Meet MyABC Lady D in Blush/Fard in Lambskin. TBH, the color is what convinced me to go for Lady D. This is such a beautiful nude pink. Dior does beautiful pinks indeed.
It requires a bit more care though than my other bags because it's such a light color. I was shocked to learn that it can even pick up color transfer from leggings. Take note, the leggings have been washed down for perhaps a hundred times already since I've had those for quite a while now as they were my favorite.
But I would not get the Lady D in any other color except this (next would be Black or the SS 2023 Royal Blue color). So gorgeous!

I've been trying to enjoy her, but I struggled in the beginning since I've only worn dark colored bags since I started collecting luxury bags and people weren't lying when they said that light- colored bags are delicate . I've figured out a way to use her already and that is if I'm wearing dark- colored clothes, I bring it top handle. If I'm wearing light- colored clothes, I can drape it across my body. ☺️
I think that's a good rule-of-thumb, and tend to practice it myself with my lighter-colored bags depending on the dark colored bottom I'm wearing. I recently wore my Fard Small ABC with a black blazer and black bottom, carried it primarily top handle but wore crossbody when I needed hands-free. Luckily no color transfer.
I think both bags are beautiful. I like the d-lite more on you, but that's just me. I also agree with the previous poster that you'll use the d-lite more due to weather resistance and because it's a larger more comfortable to wear bag. D-joy in this combo looks a little off, like something is not balanced, too lady-like maybe with a casual outfit like this. Overall, I think the D-lite complements your frame, style, colors etc. I'd exchange.

My latest Dior purchase, just something for fun to wear in summer. I tend to wear slightly larger earrings and more fashion jewelry in summer.
