What type of closure do you prefer ?

I prefer the look of a flap and turnlock. Plus I can get into it with one hand.

Zippers are the most secure, and yes, I have had my bag tumble down onto the car floor way too many times. I am not fond of breakaway zippers, though.

I also really like the look of a drawstring. I end up not drawing it and stuff spills out.

I think I only own one bag with a zipper closure. I prefer a snap/magnet closure so the bag is relatively open. I like large hobo bags so that closure offers easier access. I actually don't think I ever even used the zipper on the one bag that has one. Most of the stuff in my bags is fairly organized--I have a few small clutches/organizers so if everything does fall out it is relatively contained. But I definitely prefer easier access.

I prefer zipper closures, especially since I use public transportation on a regular basis. Magnetic closures are convenient for easy access, but I like the extra security of a zipper closure.

Zipper closures (no breakaway ones though!), unless the drop of the bag is convenient enough for me to tuck it under my arm; although I don't usually use it, I like to have that option for crowded, or unfamiliar places.

I love 'frame' handbags with the kiss-lock closure (like the Queen often carries) but they are very difficult to find.

Of what is easily available, I prefer zipper closing, and for appearance I like metal zippers - nylon or plastic zippers look cheap to me regardless of the relative cost of the bag.

I have one magnetic close Coach and once I slipped and fell on the ice and it came open and all of my stuff slid out into the snow (plus rain/snow can get in because it is really only closed at the one spot where the magnet snap is).

I don't like open top bags at all, I worry about theft or things just falling out and being lost.

anything that closes all the way from one end to the other. i kinda like this clasp too (the one of the bag and on the coin purse) but not a lot of bags have it

edit: sorry ladies, didn't realise the photo was uploaded sideways. it's the right way round in my folder, wonder why it came out that way..

Yes, I found a perfect size kiss-lock clasp bag that looked just like what I'd wanted for years, but I tried it on in the store and every time I moved the clasp (not strong enough) came open.

I also haven't bought a bag with a nylon or plastic zipper since getting my first one with a metal zipper.
