Wow!! You look beautiful and I totally agree— the bag look great with the outfit. I am wondering if the size of the bag also matters? Yours is petite — which gives a lighter look — do you think a larger bag in the DE would look as good? Or am I really overthinking this issue? LOL.

DE is, as others note, very neutral. I actually can't think of a color or style in everyday wear it wouldn't pair with, unless you're talking sequins, neon, and feathers. Maybe then.
Thank you! I think you might be overthinking it. I wouldn’t hesitate to carry a larger, brown bag with a lighter outfit like this but I know other people wouldn’t necessarily do the same.

Awesome!! Thanks to both of you. I had purchased a DE bag the other day and while I loved it at the store, I was a bit panicky when I got home and didn’t think it went with my wardrobe (which is navy, white, bright pinks, greens, purples —— think Lilly Pulitzer!). I am so glad I am overthinking things because I really want a bag that goes with most of my winter wardrobe. I admit that I will be more than happy to purchase clothing items to wear with the bag (I love thrift stores so this would not be a cost-prohibited action) but there are some pieces that I just won’t stop wearing and I really don’t want to purchase another bag if I don’t have to. I need to get out of my 90’s minimalist mind-set when it comes to bags!
