My recent three purchases in Ebay were all fakes. What is a word “Authentic” really means when a seller will sell fake purses? Be my guess… These are not the only time I had purchased a fake purse in Ebay, and lucky for me I get to have my money back. Of course, sometimes it’s not that easy, and sometimes I had to take battle with the seller.

My latest experienced was the seller’s description, “Not to ask questions,” because he only sells real designer purses. So I did put a bid, and won. The purse looks authentic in the picture with all the wonderful sign of a real purse. When I received LV purse, and took it to my favorite LV sale agent, it was dimmed fake. Of course, I am a collector myself, I was already 100% sure it was fake, but need to have a second opinion.

I filed a SNAD right away. The seller hated me for doing that though. For me to drop the case the seller refunded the money I spent for the fake purse. To my worry the listing was also removed.

Now the problem is the seller wanted the purse back, which is okay. On the other hand, Paypal and Ebay wanted me to get rid of the purse, and not return the fake LV purse to the seller. The seller on the other hand, is so disparate to have the purse bag. The seller also calls me a liar and a thief for not returning the purse. Earlier on, I did send her email that if she wanted her purse back, then all I ask was for her to send me a shipping box with paid postage.

Honestly like my husband said, I should have acted nice. As far as my concerns, I do not want to spend more money on shipping. You guys tell me if I am wrong…

IMO, if Ebay/PP did not require that you return the fake bag to the seller, then you do not have to. Your decision. I do have to caution tho that ebay/PP have been WRONG in the past RE: authenticity, so please do be 1000% sure that the bag is fake b4 destroying it.

If this seller is STILL selling fake bags, please post seller ID here so that the seller can be reported.

Yes ebay and PP wanted me to destrop the bag. The purse is actually like a wallet style purse. The inside is plastic and the stitching is loose. It says made in France, but could not find serial number. The case was closed, but the seller is harassing me in my email to return the fake purse back. The seller also said that if I don’t return the purse, I am basically a thief. I cannot get the seller's ID since listing had been removed.

OP, in the future please have the bag you want authenticated here before you purchase. If a seller says not to ask questions then that is a major red flag. The ladies and gents here are great and can help you avoid the stress of buying fakes on ebay:smile1:.

I had a seller send me threatening emails so I called Paypal and a rep put an end to that. If you ship the bag back to the seller she will try to sell it again to another unsuspecting buyer if she's still on Ebay. Just think about how you felt when you received it and all you went through to resolve this issue. Giagnm gave great advice when she said to have the ladies on the authentication thread check out a bag before you buy it. They are terrific.

Just BLOCK him from sending you emails. Who really cares what such a dishonest person think about you. As long as you know truth it is enough.
He is lucky dealing with such a nice person as you.
Many years ago in FL they had a "surprise" package. For only 20$ + shopping cost they will send nicely decorated box. Inside of box was a h...s s..t :):):):) Yes, you got it right:):):)
Sometimes I wish they would still have this service.......
I know I can be mean, but how about them taking our money and trust???

Yes the seller said," not to ask question". The seller said, " I do not sell fake" . I would think that is a good enough word for me. I had used Caroldiva in the past, but having the seller's note of, " I do not sell fake", was a good enough word for me. I hate to ask seller for confirmation if it’s real and seller already state that it is real.

We are all grown-up people, so when a seller said it is real, don't you think that in some ways, it is real. Maybe I am just stupid about it, but I am sure don't like to annoy sellers' that had already give the description as real.

I did block the seller from sending more emails to me, but somehow the seller use another email to accused me of stealling, lol. I hate the word stealling though, imagine me stealling a fake purse.

Unfortunately, that type verbage is a common ploy amongst persons selling fakes. Does not automatically mean everyone who says that is selling fake bags, but any seller who does not welcome QUESTIONS and photos for authentication is not going to get my business.
So, no it's not good enough word for me. You said that you have bought 3 fakes on ebay, so as you can see, there are many sellers offering counterfeit merchandise. I always authenticate before I buy AND after the item is received.

@Starium29 - For future reference, if you see this person selling the fake purse again and you recognize the photos he used for your listing, you can automatically fill out a form to warn eBay. :)

You are not stupid. You work hard for your money like the rest of us and you should feel free to ask questions before you let go of it. Unfortunately, as you have learned, you can't always trust a stranger's word concerning authenticity. I certainly don't mind when buyers ask me questions. I even had a buyer ask me about the color of the lining of a bag when I had no less than three pics of it the listing:amuse:! No question is "stupid" as far as I am concerned. In the future, ask those sellers questions no matter what they say. If they want your money they will answer them.
