My second RM is on it's way to me tomorrow. A dark grey Matinee (grey leather/grey suede) with silver hardware - barely used, 5 or 6 years old, black (or grey?) and cream striped lining. I can't wait to get it!

i have the same bag (but produced in a different year as the lining of mine is b/w floral) and i have been using it for almost 3 weeks in a row now. the length of the handles is just perfect to wear it on my shoulder. the leather is smooth and durable. not heavy. it's become my workhorse bag :p

I'm waiting for a black MAB with gold HW to arrive and need some feedback from all of you experienced MAB owners, as I am new to the RM brand. I just returned two Cupids due to leather quality issues, and today ordered a black MAB Mini with gold HW. I'm hoping for a better result with the MAB than I had with the Cupids. Since there is less HW to worry about, and assuming it arrives with quality leather, can anyone tell me what I should be looking out for regarding other issues common to the bag? I appreciate your time and if I should be posting this elsewhere on the forum, please let me know!! Thanks!!

for MAB and MAM, i check the zippers to make sure they work properly. i find the zippers of the brand new ones are a bit harder to close and open than those of the used ones. my experience.

if your bag is a used one, check the piping to see if it's intact and the handles to see if they're floppy or if they're wonky.

Thank you for the advice, KaseyHK; I just received my MAB and it is perfect :smile1:. The leather is thick and soft, it smells yummy and the zippers all work great. There is a vast difference in the quality of this bag vs. the Cupids I returned. One of them smelled like chemicals. I purchased this on The Outnet.com for $197 and the Cupids were from eBay and Amazon for quite a bit more, so maybe it has something to do with the vendor's quality control? Anyway....So happy!

RM's bags are pretty unpredictable. different colors have different qualities and different years of production give different qualities too. for other brands, i can blind buy online without any hesitation. but for RM, i recommend to study the photos and if possible touch the bags in person before making decision.

Yes, I learned a good lesson here about the RM brand and agree that other brands do not take such trial and error or amount of energy! I examined this bag for over an hour before I cut the tags off - I'm exhausted from this LOL! I keep seeing your "banned" signature and I am putting myself there now, too. I got lucky this time, have way enough/too much, and am banning myself now.

Just stumbled across a black stamped mac on ebay. I couldn't click buy it now fast enough. I don't even care that i knowingly paid more than what I know it was sold for during the sample sale but I don't even care. I can't wait to get it
