From my experience with AW, the leather is soft and lightweight, but the hardware is what adds all that weight. Love AW leather, but I just can't handle the heaviness.
Got shipment notification on my taupe woven MAM - wheee! Since it's coming FedEx ground from the west coast, it actually isn't scheduled to arrive till next Tuesday. So, the wait begins....
Yeah - with the Blake it's a combination of the hardware and the suede lining that really weighs it down, which is crazy since it's really not a large bag at all. It definitely impacts when I carry it - I usually reserve it for work since it's just lugging from the house to the car, then car to the office, then office back to the car. Would not be the bag of choice when doing a day of shopping, that's for sure.
But it's so darn purty, such high quality materials, so well crafted, and I die over that suede lining, that I just can't part with it. So, I just use it in the appropriate context and stare at it lovingly a LOT.
The Rocco is a hot looking bag that I've definitely been tempted by - that leather? OMG! But I think one tank of a purse is enough in my collection, so I'll just have to drool over others'.
ITA! I tried looking for a style that I like without all the studs, but had no luck.
I'm still waiting for my mini MAC from revolve. Is their international shipping always so slow? Have been waiting for over a week now and USPS still says that the package is "processed through sort facility" - what is that supposed to mean?

oh no!!! thanks for the heads up mags! have u ever carried a studded devote?? i wonder if it's as heavy..... that's by far my heaviest RM, and next would be the studded affair (heavy for a smaller bag....). i have bad shoulders too... but i can't help wanting this damn bag!! :wondering thanks for doing the comparison w/ a bal w/ GHW! oh btw, which one did u end up getting???

I went 26 days between RM purchases, which is a new record for me. I bought the Teal Easy Rider Cross-body bag that was on ebay. I have wanted a non-black easy rider style bag for a while & this one was a bargain. I've not done the proper research to even know what the bag's features are, I've never seen one in person, nor do I know what it will look like on, so it's a bit of a gamble but I dont care!!
