What makes you loyal to one brand? Or are you?

I am kinda loyal - not to ONE brand, but to a handful of brands - simply because my brain is happier with LESS choice, not more. I kind of deliberately avoid wading into brands that I've never bought from/been curious about before, because . . . why complicate my life? It's bad enough that I still want a few bags from JUST these 5 brands, so I think I'm gonna keep my head in the sand with regard to all the others out there.

Yes, there is such a thing as too much information against which to apply your specific criteria to select the very best choice of bag or bags :p Over the years I have purchased from a variety of brands/designers, although there are a few from whom I have bought more than one bag. I wouldn't say it's brand loyalty as such, really it's the simple fact that they make a design/leather/style that I find aesthetically pleasing, so naturally I'd probably find others in the collection that would appeal to me.

If a brand sticks true to its own, unique course--interests me very much.

May not be trendy, widely popular or known. Or could be all.
But keeps particular feeling or quirkiness throughout designs--as brand's trademarks.
Then does not abandon identity on a whim.

Will I buy every bag made by such a brand?
Or only bags from brand?
No.
But would keep returning. To explore new lines/seasons.
And consider.
Out of respect. For integrity & confidence.

On the flipside, have abandoned favorite brands.
When character & quality diminished.
Without remorse or 2nd glance.

Currently, there's only 1 brand that I'm loyal to and its Kipling. But I'll never know, I just started buying and "investing" on contemporary designers, such as Coach and Michael Kors. I'm sure once I'm done with my contemporary designers, I'll tap the premium brands (like Prada and LV). Lol

Forgot to mention what makes me loyal to it. It's my trusted brand for years, especially for traveling. The bag is lightweight and has lot of pockets, which is perfect for me. It's like a workhorse bag. Throw away anything, and it's still a joy to carry. I can even throw it in the washing machine with no worries. But at the end of the day, this is still a casual bag. So I started buying contemporary designer bags for more formal look and feel.

I think my feet will always make me loyal to certain brands:

Gucci, Nike, Taryn Rose and New Balance

Gucci in my opinion is always true to size

I do love my DVF wrap dresses because they are simple and classy.

It has helped that I am a slim size because I have found a lot of designer items in the thrift stores.

I consider my current purchases to be test-runs that way when my financial situation improves I can see if I would like to pay full price at a retail store.

I'm loyal to several brands; Longchamp, Mulberry (although this love is coming to an end because of their new design scheme), Lumi and for shoes, Columbia. All are well-priced, great quality and they take great care of their customers. Repairs work and the staff know their job.

It's not easy to get a loyal customer of me, but I'm very easy to lose. One crappy product combined with bad customer service is something that cannot be fixed afterwards. Good example is By Malene Birger, I bought a bag from them and it went rancid after a few weeks of use. They refused to refund, replace or repair. That was the last BMB purchase I will ever make.

I am very brand loyal, but it's usually about 2-3 brands not just one.

Handbags:

Dooney - HIGH quality and affordable. at the contemporary price point you will not find higher quality leather bags. They are also very classic and timeless bags, but have some fun designs and patterns [non leather] so a lot of variety
Gucci - also High quality. and the variety of styles in Gucci is unmatched. They have styles you don't see often [and often don't see at all] and unlike a lot of other brands, they don't come out with the same thing over and over year after year. This allows for a significant amount of variety. and they also have a large range of styles, from highly structured leather, to canvas and other non leather more versatile patterns. They also have a wide range of exotic skins [python, lizard, croc, birdie] that are amazing.

Clothes:

Ralph Lauren and Ann Taylor. similar to reasoning of handbags above

Well, things have really changed. My love for Lonchamp is gone, and I have no plans on ever purchasing or owning anything from the brand ever again. LC repairs made a total botch job dyeing my LP Cuir and they basically laughed at my face when I complained. Their attitude sucks so bad and I'm done.

Furla and Coach have lately been tickling my shopping nerves; when I get all of my LC sold I'll be thinking of what I'm going to replace them with. Probably Furla.

I have decided to be loyal to Hermes at the moment because it limits the amount of bags I purchase each year due to the excessively high prices and the fact that there are only a few of their bags that I like. This forces me to be content with the two Hermes bags that I own. The other reason that I have chosen to be loyal to Hermes is the craftsmanship, color choices, and quality. If I am going to pay a fortune for a bag, I want handmade excellence in limited quantities. I have sold almost all of my other designer bags for that reason.

I am loyal to Coach because of their great customer service, unrivaled quality for the price and wide selection of cute styles. I do have mostly luxury bags, but if I am going to get a non-luxury one it’s gonna be Coach.

Not loyal to any luxury brand. For luxury, I just get whatever I think fits my tastes and looks like a luxury brand bag. I wouldn’t pay luxury prices for a nondescript bag. A nondescript bag is what Coach is for.

Ditto. Mainly I stick to Chanel and Hermes because they represent the uppermost tier of luxury, but as Chanel gets more contemporary and less elegant I find myself more loyal to Hermes. I appreciate their simplicity and the fact they are without loud logos and timeless. The quality of craftsmanship is amazing and I appreciate knowing my purchase was made with excellent quality materials by true craftspeople, and that the product will be with me for years.
