OK, I'm back.

Verdict is inconclusive. Those "inside" pix from IG? Those are mockups. No special merchandise an I was told by a SA there that there will be no SE pieces. I'll check with my contacts to confirm tho.

The Shayne Oliver tuff wasnt there.

Wonder if they'll have any special limited editions for the opening!!

I was told 'no'

In the first 3 pictures, there are definitely bags and SLGs that I've never seen before!!! Oh wow!!!

It was a mirage. Sad face.

I DID see a SE at Madison tho. I will post it in the AW18 thread after I hallmark it.

Oic! Thanks for the updates! :D

I finally got the correct info on the flagship merch straight from corporate so here it is:

The new fifth ave store will have a special "project" and "capsule" avail in May. They will reveal what it is on SM at that time. Fingers crossed that it will be something good.
This is a good reminder to never trust info from the SAs.

Even though the Fifth Ave flagship opened quietly last Friday (and earlier than WWD and WSJ had reported), I've gotta think that the Paris bigwigs--Jean Cassegrain, Sophie Delafontaine--are still coming for a ribbon cutting/official launch party or something. They've been doing that for major boutique openings lately, Tokyo, Moscow, etc...

I think this would be true. It would be chaos to open the boutique and have a ribbon-cutting on the same day. In my home city of Kuala Lumpur, the flagship boutique opened 3 weeks before the ribbon cutting / official launch but Jean and Sophie didn't attend, sadly :(

my gut feeling is that they will have something with a-list actors like they did with the soho flagship which is why it's quiet. there are pix from that event still around the internet so you can see which actors attended back then.
