What Jewelry Did You Wear for Your Wedding?

My dress is incredibly simple (but I think elegant). I'm planning on wearing large pear shaped cz earrings with it.

I'm now looking for a matching bracelet (probably stretch style) to fit my tiny wrists. Most bracelets are 7" and I need something closer to 4-5".

While my dress is ivory, I didn't want to borrow my mother's pearls (which are beautiful) and my diamond jewelry is probably too delicate to pair with such a simple gown. So, I'm searching for super fabulous costume!!!

It really depends on whether you want to wear fine or costume jewellery and what your budget is. I bought the jewellery for my wedding day from a retailer here in the UK called Yarwood White which has some absolutely stunning pieces. I chose chandelier earrings and a matching bracelet made from silver, pearls and Swarovski crystals but they have all sorts of different designs.

The prices are very reasonable (for wedding stuff anyway) - I paid the equivalent of about $400 for my earrings and bracelet.

They have been featured in Cosmo and lots of wedding magazines here in the UK and also do worldwide delivery.

I had pearl/diamond studs and sterling/cz pendant and the tiffany bangle I have since lost. If I could go back and redo with the same jewelry I had then, I think I'd nix the pendant in favor of a clean neckline.

If I was getting married with my current jewelry stock, I would wear my VCA large frivole earrings, 5 motif onyx bracelet, and a jade bangle. No necklaces.

I wore:
a three-strand pearl bracelet I had made for me when I was 18 years old:
an antique yellow gold, pearl and diamond accent bangle bracelet I purchased this year for myself and is the single most expensive piece I have bought for myself so far;
a string of pearls given to me by my great-aunt;
my maternal grandmother's diamond ring she bequeathed to me;
my paternal grandmother's pearl and diamond drop earrings that were passed on to me; and
my engagement ring and wedding band set.

I love jewelry, and all these pieces meant something to me sentimentally. Also, it is a good thing I wore a very simple style wedding dress to go along with all that jewelry!

Nice thread!

I wore diamond studs, my engagement ring/wedding ring and a yellow gold antique bracelet that my Mother in Law loaned me for the day. I also wore a gold Albert pinned inside my wedding dress, which my Mum wore on her wedding day.

I really struggled to find a necklace to wear and I ended up wearing a diamond solitaire, which I felt was too plain but as DH bought it for me it would work out okay. On the evening of the Wedding my Brother in law gave me the most beautiful single strand of pearls with a gold bead in the centre of the necklace, which was studded with Swiss set diamonds. This would have been the perfect necklace to have worn on my wedding day and I wish I could have :-) x

What a lovely thread :smile1:

I wore silver/pearl/crystal chandelier earrings and a matching three strand pearl wrap bracelet together with an antique dainty watch from my best friend's grandmother as my 'something borrowed' and my own grandmother's diamond ring as a RHR and my 'something old'. I didn't wear a necklace because of the long earrings and the sweetheart neckline of my dress.

This is such a cute thread idea!

I'm only nineteen and currently single so not getting married anytime soon hehe. But I'm so plain and simple I'd probably just wear diamond studs and whatever ER the future husband picks out for me. :laugh:

Love this thread since it brings back such memories!

I wore a simple dress with some scattered pearls on the outer chiffon layer,and wanted to keep the whole look streamlined; Julia Roberts in her black and white vintage dress at a previous oscars was my inspiration so I wore the same me and ro graduated diamond ear drops and a bezel set diamond tennis bracelet, and that's it! My mom thought I should wear a necklace but I loved that I showcased the earrings (wore my hair up). Loved it.

These all sound great- I'm loving the vintage vibe so far. Very interesting to hear what you would have liked to change about it! I have to say hands down my favorite is mariac021 or her username is something of that variety. I love the cosmos pendant with her beautiful dresss!

I'm hoping by then I'll have nice VCA earrings at least. Ideally I would love a VCA pendant, earrings and a rose gold Alhambra bracelet to wear! Or as you suggested diamond studs and then I would mix in the VCA bracelet and necklace lol. A girl can dream ! I always dreamed of the garden diamond rose Tiffany earrings but that was before the crazy price increases. I wonder if I would wear my love bangle though...
