Yes, I have two and they both have the back pocket. You wouldn't think it makes a difference since there are already three external zip pockets which is a lot, but it does!

it's so fun to read all the different preferences. i have all styles (except the hobo) represented in my collection ; each event or day/night might call for something different so i'm prepared for anything. i do gravitate to convertibles, bags with detachable straps that have multiple wear options. i prefer a single top handle (kelly bags) and large clutches with a detachable wrist strap or crossbody strap. and i won't wear any bag over 4" in depth. i like a slim profile handbag or tote.
I just keep coming back to medium size tote and hand held bags. I can use a tiny bag for brief periods but always seem to need what I haven't got.
My favorite type of handbag is a 2-way with a Shoulder Carry and a Cross Body. My Holy Grail handbag is the Chanel Strass Medium Boy bag because "bling is my thing"! It's the first Boy handbag that I purchased and it's still my favorite. I mostly carry it double strapped Shoulder carry, but I love the option of Cross Body at the grocery store, Target, etc. (Yes, I carry this kind of bling everywhere because it makes me happy) 
Prefer bags I can enjoy well & have some fun using.

At the moment, I carry tons of hobos, small or medium. I also love crossbody bags but those are good for when I need to be hands free. Those are my 2 go to types.
I used to love big bags, (LV Artsy, Neverfull GM, Celine Phantom) but I'm starting to gravitate more towards smaller crossbody bags (pochette metis, Chanel boy, speedy b) I just love being hands-free, although I love the look of some top handle bags, I would never purchase one, unless it has a shoulder/crossbody strap .
My preference is crossbody bags, and I try to pick one with a handheld handle and a crossbody strap for versatility.
I have all bag types except hobos. However I tend to gravitate towards handheld satchels with detachable strap. The bags I love have these features:
1. flaps with interesting closures.
2. soft leather (smooth for the more refined look, pebbled for the casual look)

Definitely like bags that are carryable as a crossbody/but also as a clutch or handles. E.g. Celine nano in the micro size, the small mulberry cara backpack, or if going even smaller, the Miss Dior promenade.
