I love the noir cw for my B, but my girl’s signature color is rose tyrien 💗 so I’m hoping for a pink cw too for her. Good luckOMG. Now that you pointed out the German Shepard, I have to have one! 😍

I am so so so happy for youLast Thursday, I had my first attempt this holiday season - I went to Hermes Cadogan Place (which is my home store) to renew my wish for the year - I went for a Kelly 25/28 Retourne in Blues and Neutrals with my new S.A.
Cadogan Place had no bags that day, so the next stop was Harrods - but because I had gone there around 11.45am, there was a 2 hour wait, which meant sod all would be forthcoming - even the sales associate said, it is unlikely they would be able to fulfil any leather requests by the time it got to me. So, I went on my (less-than-merry) way to Selfridges where I waited for a couple of hours, and watched as two people had their wishes fulfilled - a Birkin 25 and a Kelly 28 (both in similar neutral shades, though I can't narrow down what colour it actually was. Two hours went by, and no bags were available, so I left empty-handed.
I tried again on this past Tuesday, but I was waylaid beforehand, which meant that I only got to the New Bond Street flagship after opening time. I was advised by the greeter that they hadn't had any deliveries that day, and the only bags available were canvas bags, but deliveries might still happen during the day. My appointment went by with nothing - I left and went to catch up with my Dior S.A. for a bit. I rejoined the queue again, but once again, nothing had arrived, so my second appointment was a bust. All I was shown was a Noir Sac a Depeche in Togo PHW, which, as it was a crossbody bag, was not one I liked. So, another day, another disappointment...
I decided to mix it up on Wednesday, and went to be first in line at Harrods... But of course, even though I was the first in the queue, they had no sodding deliveries. Just my luck, of course... I went to try my luck at my home store, but again, they didn't have any deliveries. However, at least I had the opportunity to try on the Della Cavalleria Elan in Gold/Gold Epsom. Absolutely stunning, I could see myself adding one of these beauties one day (after the BKC goal have been completed of course). I then went on to New Bond Street again, on the off-chance there might be something there...
Like a proverbial dagger through my heart, the S.A. advised me, "Oh we did have a delivery this morning before opening - we did have two Mini Evelynes (in Noir and Orange). But unfortunately, they have already sold straightaway this morning..."
I swear, just because I decided to mix it up with locations, my prospects at getting a bag for Christmas collapsed like a flan in a cupboard...
I decided to gamely try again, and was first in line at New Bond Street yesterday morning... But, as you know, those efforts were in vain, as I was told within 5 minutes of being served that they didn't have any bag deliveries, and they had no bags to offer. (Well, to me...)
Interestingly enough, I overheard an S.A. trying to assist a foreign Princess with her requests, but apparently they had no Birkins/Kellys to offer her from the back, but if she wanted a Constance, he could help her with that (but she didn't seem keen on it). She was eventually offered a lovely Mini Bolide in Vert D'eau crocodile/alligator, but it was unclear whether she accepted it.
I was not going to give up (apparently I'm a sucker for punishment...), so I made sure to be first in line at New Bond Street once again this morning! But I will say, I actually had a nightmare last night, thinking I overslept and missed the opening, with an S.A. telling me they had several Mini Evelynes but all of them sold just before I scrabbled in!
I'm probably going to need therapy after this, haha!
But perseverance and persistence FINALLY paid off for me today! I had a good vibe from the S.A. that served me this morning, who was ever-so-lovely. It definitely seemed like they had a fair number of bags to offer today, as he took the time to ask me for colour preferences, and model preferences in more minute detail. I had mentioned I would prefer neutrals, but given that I was looking for a mini bag, I was perfectly happy with another pop of colour akin to my Mini Lindy. He kept saying he could see me pull off very bright colours, which made me think he was probably going to offer me something in a jewel tone or similar...
He left me to go see what he could find... My satellite ears (my parents didn't want to pay to pin them back) swivelled around to listen to what the other S.As were saying to other customers, to see if I could manage my expectations. I was worried I was going to hear the disappointing news that they had no deliveries or the dreaded "only canvas bags today - do you want a Steeple or a Cabas H?" But most of them basically asked the clients what they wanted, and when asked what bags were available, demurred and just said, tell me what you want, no promises, but we can go to the back to check for the model you ask, rather than listing out what we have in stock.
My heart was racing like a thoroughbred on cocaine (it may have been the copious Diet Cokes that I was plied with by the familiar handsome waiter while I waited, but who can say...)
He finally re-emerged, with a solitary tiny box (which bade well for me, given what I was looking for). He sat down in front of me, looking rather serious. He prefaced the conversation saying, "I have no Constances, and no Mini Lindys available unfortunately..."
"HOWEVER, I did find a Mini Evelyne - we do have a couple in stock, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the one I chose for you. If it's not for you, I can go back and show you the other one..."
Honestly, I thought I was going to pass out from holding my breath until he slowly unboxed the bag. (My lung capacity hasn't been the same ever since!)
All decorum and composure went out the window the moment he revealed the beauty within. I squealed with absolute unbridled pleasure as he unveiled a beautiful, perfect Mini Evelyne in Gold Clemence with GHW.
Gold is my absolute favourite Holy Grail Hermes colour! (If the Hermes angels are listening in, I still would love a Birkin or Kelly in Gold, so gimme a call, and let's talk...)
I was clapping my hands like a deranged seal, to the point where another S.A. assisting the guy who was in the queue after me, grinned and remarked, "Have we finally made Monsieur happy today?"
I think most of the S.As probably recognised my forlorn sad sack self over the past few days! LOL!
I know a lot of people may think it's probably a lot of ballyhoo for a non-quota bag, but I really wanted an easy-going everyday H bag that I could carry everywhere, and I was so happy to finally be offered one, and in the exact perfect shade for me.
It really is the perfect way to end the year, and a great Christmas present to add to my proverbial tree!
I haven't unboxed it yet. I am doing my level best to keep it to open on Christmas Day itself.
It now feels like a tradition for me to get a new Hermes bag at the end of each year! Let's hope it continues in the same vein!
Thanks for putting up with my lengthy bout of verbosity, which could have probably be summed in a line.

Can’t wait for you reveal on/after Christmas! What an adventure! For most people, yes, a one liner is sufficient. For you, i need 50 lines minimum. How else can I get the full imagery ( the deflated flan, the deranged seal) OMG I LOVE IT! Of course the ending of the story was the best!Last Thursday, I had my first attempt this holiday season - I went to Hermes Cadogan Place (which is my home store) to renew my wish for the year - I went for a Kelly 25/28 Retourne in Blues and Neutrals with my new S.A.

What a wonderful story! I’m so glad your perseverance was rewarded and you finally got what you were hoping for. 🎄Last Thursday, I had my first attempt this holiday season - I went to Hermes Cadogan Place (which is my home store) to renew my wish for the year - I went for a Kelly 25/28 Retourne in Blues and Neutrals with my new S.A.
