The one piece of jewelry that I ALWAYS wear every day and never remove is a pendant and ring strung onto the same gold chain. The pendant and ring have my BF's name carved on them, and since the ring is way too big for my finger I just wear it around my neck with the pendant. They are gold, and were given to him by his late mother, whom he loved very much, so I wear them with pride because I know the sentimental value of them. He gave them to me two years ago, and because it's gold I never take them off, even to shower or bathe. Other jewelry I wear depending on what I have to do that day. If I'm teaching, I'll just wear pearl or gold studs, a couple of bracelets, and a watch. But if I'm going someplace where I can "be myself" I go all out! I like large hoop earrings in silver and gold, a necklace that compliments the one I always wear, bracelets made of beads, silver, and gold, rings, anklets, you name it. I love costume jewelry especially, and I make a lot of my own stuff, so I tend to wear lots of jewelry sometimes--on any give day a ring on each finger, a couple bracelets on each wrist, a wristwatch, hoop or chandelier earrings, two anklets (one on each ankle or two on one ankle), and a pretty necklace that pulls it all together.
