Not at all. It is actually really easy to open. You lift the bar up and over the handle and that's it. The flap is not sealed with any additional closures underneath, so I can have easy access to my items.
I love how simple and unique the closure is, because I don't need to deal with fussy magnet/snap buttons/zippers. I am so happy with my bag. I highly recommend it.

Love this. Is it black or dark brown? Reminds me of a pair if Louboutin shoes i have with straps that wrap around the ankle.

I figured lol but on my phone the photo earswithfeet posted also looked black but apparently was dark brown. I looked up on website and bag looks larger than I was expecting.... wish it came in a smaller .Black , of course
I agree. I love the architectural design of this bag and would definitely consider it in a smaller version. The larger would become a sneaky playground for my things which always like to hide from me in bigger north/south bags. Lol!
