I hit the ground running with this bag, switched from my enormous Margiela cabas when I got home after getting the Empire then went right back out to test drive it. There was a need in my wardrobe for a roomier hand carry, the Speedy 25 just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I’m all for a big bag. My last two bag purchases were big shoulder bags (MM6 Japanese bag and Margiela cabas). The Empire 40 is great, the size is perfect, I’m 5’3 and the bag is nowhere close to touching the ground when carried by hand. It just looks and feels like a chic, well loved carryall. It does get heavy so that’s something to keep in mind, I think Coach made a thoughtful choice in having the lining in fabric, leather would’ve made this bag too heavy.

Thank you! The bag is black, I think the settings on my camera made the bag look blue. I have a charm from the recent Murakami exhibit in San Francisco that would go perfectly with this bag but I can’t find it, driving me a little bonkers. It’ll turn up eventually I’m sure 🥲

It smells incredible. I bought it as my birthday2024 bag but I’ve been in the Mz Wallace xl sling. I’m recovering from a massive stroke. The xl metro sling is easier for me to manage right now as imam relearning howto walk with the help of a hemi cane walker and custom leg brace. O I need hand free carrying right now and the sling wraps around my chest wonderfully.nothing swinging getting in the way of my cane. Everything fits in my xl metro sling and it’s very lightweight. I would get another one in a heartbeat. Now as far as my dooney Gracie. I love it. But think I’m going to have to hold off on moving into it until I get my balance better under control. Im still lesrning to put weight on my left leg which is in the brace. My left arm is dislocated so I can’t wear a bag on my left side right now.im slowly but surely recovering from a massive stroke and I’m glad to be able to see another year under the sun. I will be celebrating my birthday all month of September.. my favorite time of year. Lol

Yes, it must be so scary-I cannot imagine, truly..one of my neighbours recently has had several mini strokes..

My heart goes out to you..mini steps to recovery..do not be too harsh on yourself , and rest a lot xxxxx.

I truly hope you do feel better soon and I’m so glad you found the metro sling x.

Thank you so much. I’m celebrating hard this year I almost didn’t make it to see my birthday this year and I am celebrating all month long! Sorry to hear about your neighbor. I wouldn’t wish a stroke on my worst enemy.it horrible. I’ve been wheelchair bound for months but last week I got a custom leg brace that allows me to walk. I’m relearning to walk and it’s hard but I’m so determined. I got the leg brace last Thursday and that Saturday only 2 days later I walked upstairs to visit my purses lol. And I wanted to cuddle with hubby in our bed. I’ve been in a hospital bed confined to the living room due to lack of mobility…. No more I have a custom leg brace now and I can walk. Thank you Lord Jesus!I only have the use of my right hand so it was very challenging to get upstairs as the railing is on the left side. My lrft side was affected by the stroke. Everything on my left so weak and un responsive .the yellow marks show nothing to hold on to going upstairs. Hubby helped me get up,and back down.gotta love him
