I’m cross posting but I wanted to present my dream bag, a mini Capucines in Indigo ostrich. It took 6 months to create but it was worth the wait. It is unbelievably lightweight and the leather seems extremely durable. I feel very fortunate to have this bag in my collection.

This bag is gorgeous and very special. Congratulations!

Thanks so much!
I can't stop looking at the photo  Have you used it yet? Do you have an outfit in mind? Not sure why but I am picturing it with white pants and blue or neutral color shoes. I do not have an ostrich bag but now I want one. And I was so good at resisting a pink one last year at Ferragamo that was allegedly a limited "Palm Beach" only edition. I guess the search begins..... lol

Thank you for your lovely reply. I’ve worn it with a pale pink summer dress and it just popped. I, too, like the idea of neutrals. I think they highlight the richness of the blue. Btw, I was in Palm Beach last February and saw the pink ostrich bag at Ferragamo’s and thought it was beautiful. I didn’t buy it because I already have a fuchsia bag in my collection. Good luck with your search!

That's so funny you saw the same bag! I think it was the end of January I was there and since I have multiple pink bags, I didn't pay too much attention to it and didn't even recall it being fuschia. Which is also funny because most of my pink bags are light pink and I didn't really have a fuschia bag until a couple of weeks ago. I still haven't even taken it out of the box but I guess I should and then I can actually post here based on the title of the thread.

Ooh what did you get?!
I used to have a little hot pink coach bag that was so cheerful in summer but my sunny closet got too hot and the color melted all off the handle into everything else so I tossed it

That stinks about the melting! I can relate.... One of the first expensive designer bags I bought myself was the Louis Vuitton Articles de Voyage Ikat Neverfull in the Rose Velours (will be dating myself but splurged for my 40th birthday). Unfortunately, the glazing on the handles melted and I was told those bags were notorious for that issue and that they could not repair so I ended up with a store credit (ended up buying a pair of shoes when I was in Las Vegas just to use up the credit). That was 10 years ago (yes, big bday soon approaching) and I am still in search of replacing it . I tried once on resale market with a bag they claimed wasn't afflicted and as soon as I opened the package, I realized it was. So I am fearful - especially in hot humid South Florida - that remains a pipe dream.

Anyway, to answer your question, the fuschia bag in question is the Medium Lady Dior in the Toile de Jouy Voyage Print. It's a long story but my daughter has always loved pink elephants since she was 3 years old (all elephants but especially pink lol). So even though I usually like light pink, I felt like I needed to see this bag in person. I knew the price was steep so I pretended I was just going to look at it (kind of like when I was 23 and saw an ad in the newspaper for an Old English Sheepdog puppy I convinvced myself I was just going to look at but that's another story). I started to justify that it looked like a mom and baby elephant so I should get it. Then I noticed a peacock underneath the metal DIOR letters which is my best friend's favorite animal and then I noticed that the back had a tiger on it, which is my other daughter's best friend's favorite animal so it really seemed meant to be. But when SA said there were only 100 made and I think 30 left, FOMO kicked in and of course out came the credit card. This is the most money I have ever spent on a bag and I'm still a little in shock (maybe why I haven't taken out of box yet) but I just noticed when I went to screenshot photo that the price already increased $300 since I purchased on June 19. Here is a stock photo since I haven't opened mine yet but I maybe I will open tonight and snap photo.

Okay, I lied. That is technically not the last handbag I purchased. I recently discovered I did not have a grey handbag (thanks TPF) and remembered seeing a bag that sort of piqued my interest the last time I was at a Prada outlet in Orlando. As luck would have it, I ended up having to go to Orlando last weekend and went back to see if this bag was still there. I described it to a T, found it in black, and they insisted that no such bag exists in grey (even though I know I saw it with my own eyes). I spent that evening researching like a lunatic until I finally found it on Saks Off Fifth website. So I called back the Prada store and then they miraculously found the bag they said didn't exist. I went back to look at (famous last words) and it didn't seem exactly as I remembered but I feel like it had to be the right bag. The thing I didn't like about the bag the first time was the gold hardware. For some reason, I think gold sort of clashes with grey but since this bag is more of a dark taupe grey and not a light silvery grey, I decided the gold no longer bothering me. But I also don't know if I LOVE the bag, although at the time of purchase I felt like if I was still thinking about it I better get it or I would always be thinking I should have gotten it. Also wondering if maybe there is a reason I don't own any grey bags. Here is stock photo of the bag in question. Opinions and advice are welcome!

Mansur Gavriel Mini Bloom in black/flamma. I love this color way since it’s a goes-with-everything black bag outside, but fun, bright color inside to make me smile when I open it.

Had their Cloud Clutch in this color way, but it that’s just bigger than I wanted a clutch to be, but the Mini Cloud was too small. This is in between them, and a perfect size!

Jessie-Cat gave it the feline inspection -I think she was really just checking if there were any treats or toys in it…
