Fit for a gala dinner or night at the opera-or night out with the girls!
You are putting my collection to shame..
Oh thank you!
I do combine very high end stuff with very cheap and feel good about it. As a former dancer I am good at presenting myself even while wearing stuff from a dollar store.
And my most worn evening bag I bought for $10 at Chinatown in NYC 15 years ago, I wore it even to meet a king. Lol.

I think we do buy expensive items to please ourselves and our ego and out of the appreciation for design and craftsmanship and history of the fashion houses. But it doesn’t always mean great quality or beauty. There are great quality and fashion things at cheaper prices or from unknown designers.

I’m also a former dancer!
I won a scholarship to Northern Ballet School and danced with Northern Ballet Theatre(I trained prior to that at the Royal Academy of Dance).
What a small world!
Yes, I also love beautiful things as well-when I was 16 or 17 I discovered a stand in Covent Garden market selling exotic skin handbags made by a former Asprey craftman using skins left over from his time there-for between £35-£75(lizard and crocodile!), so I started carrying exotic skins at a ridiculously early age..

If only we were both in the same country and could meet for lunch..

Oh I knew you were from the ballet world because of your Karsavina and Baryshnikov ❤️
I have labradors, happy, lazy and chunky dogs. Otherwise I’d also have Maya or Andres but they are more like Lizzo and etc lol
I just knew we were kindred spirits from your user name-I have known the Graff family long before Graff were a household name-my friend Samantha Graff used to get asked whether or not she was related to Steffi Graf!
I bought my first pink diamond necklace there when I was about 17 I think…and sold Laurence Graff OBE one of my own rings..I also have a degree in gemmology..
Please Never be down-I just want to give you a big hug!xxxxxxxx

@muchstuff I’m not sure how to quote without the pictures but oh my goodness you’ve definitely had some great bags!

I had some good bags when I lived in Paris but I lived in the 400 year old Palais Royal which had damp , and I lost a lot…then I had clutches..also a black calf and grey ostrich bag which I loved …also a burgundy croc Dior..

If you hadn’t sold so many bags your collection would be like a mini museum!
I’m totally in love with your new BV and combed the BV website(found a wallet), sadly can’t post my latest bag here although I’ll post my next one, but my wishlist is growing ever longer!
Unlike you I don’t have enough I can bear to part with…

When I look back at the bags I’ve sold…I collected Alexander Wang for awhile and sold them all, sold my few Chanel bags, most of the Hermes ones, almost all of my oldie Bals. And I keep buying…

I used to wear Alexander Wang clothes-he was a brilliant designer!I have also had Chanel bags(almost bought a lizard one when I was 19,but not a croc yet), lucky you for having had so many Hermes-I’m just starting that journey, Bals are a bit large for me..like you I will ALWAYS keep buying , even in my 90’s.
We are just Born to Shop bags!

Not a lot of Hermes, and never quota bags or anything like that. I tend to like the less popular styles, most of which were discontinued and pre-loved. My pockets aren’t that deep!

Nobody I know even Knows my Tsako is an Hermes tbh..except my young friend in her 20’s, who thinks it should be covered in logos and isn’t impressed at all!(she trashed her Michael Kors and destroyed it, and replaced it with a high street bag, the most expensive bag that she’s bought shopping with me is a DKNY).
