What is the best Coach bag to carry for school/work?

I have the optic sig in pink. It's the only signature coach bag I have. I've used it on a daily basis for about 3 years now. And it's held up very well. Even after all of the stuff I cram into it including:

macbook with it's protective case
a 2 inch binder
my coach agenda
books for class (usually 4 smaller novels)
a small umbrella (i go to school in south florida)
water bottle
iphone, keys, wallet, pens, pencils, etc.

A few things I've recently noticed, the handles are very strained because of all of the weight. The leather on the bottom of the bag "scraped off" and it's difficult to keep clean. I really like the design of the bag and would recommend it in a different color.

That being said, I'm a huge legacy fan. And I love the gigi and would LOVE to get it for my carry all. But it is just too heavy. I've gone to the store twice with the intent of buying it and left empty handed. I'm graduating in May and know that I won't use a large bag anymore.

Go for something light weight and durable.

Hey ladies, anyone know anything about a large zoe or carly? Would those fit say a large science and a small binder? If you recall any of your books from h.s. or college, just the size of a most math or science books, they are big, but nothing I haven't seen before!

My two girls in college have used the Poppy glam totes for school and they love them! You can't fit a 17" laptop in them but anything smaller will probably fit. They are also really affordable and come in a bunch of colors. Besides the new ones, there are plenty of the older styles on ebay.

I bought the coach large zoe, it is approx 15 X 12 X 5. I'm Confident it will be be enough, but it is not structured which my current bag isn't either which is kind of annoying, because you can't just set it down, it kind of flops on it's side. We'll see! Did you end up getting one for school OP?

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier. I have the Peyton saffiano pocket tote. It would be a perfect school bag. I took it recently on a cross country trip. It can take all kinds of abuse and still looks brand new. My daughters have used Poppy glams as school bags but because they are fabric, they eventually show wear. One of the daughters got a Longchamp Le Pliage for school and it fell apart within 6 months. I think the Peyton is a great choice. It is a little heavier than a fabric bag but extra durable.
