IMO, 1 ct in each ear will be fantastic! I probably wouldn't try to pass off a 2 or 3 ct Diamonique as real on my hand, but earrings are different. People don't look at them as closely. Your 1cts will be lovely, and most people probably won't think twice about whether they're real or not - you won't have to tell unless you want to. I think the real give away is if everyone you know knows that you make $10/hr and you're wearing a 5ct "diamond". When you have a pretty Diamonique or other simulant, attitude is everything.

I love Diamonique. As with other posters, I never try to pass it off as real, and will tell people where it's from only if they ask. If they don't and compliment me, I say "thank you."

That said, hubby bought my engagement ring in 14K white gold ten years ago for $153 out the door, and it looks as gorgeous now as it did then. The real version was selling in the jewelry district for $21,000 at the time.

^^^ I think that's a fantastic way for a couple to start out, rather than going into big debt as they start their new life together! The ring and/or stones can always be upgraded later. But if it looks as good years later as the day you got it, then why spend the $$$?

ITA, and that's why we chose this option. We both had existing debt, plus the cost of the wedding, so there you go.

One time, when we moved, I thought I lost this ring. I was nearly suicidal. But it had to do with the sentiment, not the stones.

If they had been real stones, I hate to think what would have happened. I'd be in the looney bin!

I love my Diamonique asscher cut studs. They are just over a carat each. I wear them almost every day, they are comfortable and classic. I think they are very believable. I also have this Tacori Diamonique ring, which I wear on my right hand. I think the center stone is a bit large to be believable, but I wear it because I think it's pretty.

Bagshopr, those are gorgeous.

And the ring is really vintage looking! Isn't it a relief not having to worry about losing your jewelry as much?

I have the same asscher studs from QVC- I wore them on my wedding day and every day since! I love them!

So I was watching QVC when I was sick in bed this week, and it was Diamonique Day and they had a cute try me price ring that I thought would be cute for when I go on vacation and what not. Ya know, if I loose it I won't mind. Plus it was at a Try Me Price. So it was like less than $30! I'll post picture when I get it and tell you if I like it!
