What handbag to wear to a football game?

Expensive or not, if it's a durable bag that can be banged up against other people's bodies (I assume it's going to be super crowded and crammy like the professional football games I've been to), possibly get spilled on, etc., then I'd take that. Yes, I would take an LV or Prada if it's built for heavy duty wear. Why shell out the mega $$$ for these that are built for this kind of wear if you're only going to sidestep it and use a cheap one?

I carry nothing to sporting events if I can avoid it and if I decide I really have to I only carry something I wouldn't care if it got destroyed. I certainly wouldn't carry anything designer. Odds of the item being damaged or destroyed during an all-on-fandom-celebration are lower than 6-1.

I totally agree with you! I made that mistake once before and vowed never to take a handbag to a sporting event again.

I'd bring something I wouldn't cry over if it got destroyed. Sporting events are filled with people who couldn't care less about bags. Nobody is going to worry about it as much as you are, and nobody will even notice your LV vs your school canvas tote (unless you're going with a bunch of girlfriends who are also into purses). I think the thrill of toting a cute bag (and we all know what a thrill it is, admit it) doesn't outweigh the risk that it'll get spilled on, stepped on, etc. Have fun at the game!

are you going to be in state college in the student section? I wouldnt be wearing anything expensive that I will regret losing if I were you. I am sure you know taht things can get rowdy, especially in the student section.

gosh, where was this post yesterday when I was looking for advice?

i end up wearing my LV wristlet. I was able to fit my camera, blackberry, cash, debit card, and car keys. the wristlet stayed on my arm so i didnt have to remove it or put it on the floor. I recommend it!

I agree with the other ladies. As someone who goes to a lot of college games, I only bring a PVC type college tote or nothing. Paid $11 for my Auburn tote at Wally World. Best thing ever!
Nothing designer or cute. EVERY game I've ever been to there were spills. They just leak down from step to step.

None. I just shove my tickets to the game and a bit of cash in pockets. I would be too worried about damaging my handbag the tail-gate parties beer and food.

Most likely a small crossbody bag. But most certainly a small wristlet, at least. I don't think you need to carry a lot since you'll be there most of the day. Obviously everyone around you are gonna be standing and screaming and spilling food everywhere. So any kind of pouch or small bag that's spill/waterproof would be recommended.
