My wrist measures 6.1" and my sister's measures 7.1", do we take 18 cm and 21cm if we going to complete the bracelet with charms and beads ? Can someone advise whether I am correct ?

Depends on how many of the glass bead or silver charm you want , for me 18cm fit 8 glass beads + 7 silver charm + safety chain, the glass bead will more tight ! I think you should try in person :)

Can anyone tell me the difference between the clips and safety chain ? Do they have the same function of preventing the charms or beads from coming off ? Do we need both ? Do we need a pair of clip or one clip is enough ?

IMO, it's best to have two clips. The safety chain is less important, but a nice addition if you like the look and want to spend the $. I've had pandora bracelets for many many years, and never had one break or open accidentally. The clips go over the two raised sections at the "10:00 and 2:00" location on the bracelet. The safety chain goes on either side of the clasp. Hope this helps.

I've been lurking around this thread for a while and want to thank everyone for the great pics and info. It's so fun!

Thanks for sharing, is it necessary to have clips or can do away ?

If you have just a few (maybe 3?) charms, then you don't need clips. When you add more charms they really do slide around so much that it can be annoying. The charms will always slide down to the underside of your wrist so you won't see them as much.

Some people say that not having the charms evenly distributed (the clips help to evenly distribute the charms) may weaken the bracelet, but I've a bracelet like that for many years and it never happened.

I think it's fine to buy a few charms and add clips later, but IMO eventually you will need two clips. Hope this helps!

I bought my first pandora bracelet, the leather double wrap thing.... Anyway got some charms the other day and as much as I love the charms, HATE how they fall on this bracelet! I'm so disappointed . Feel like I'm wearing a shoelace with charms and it looks like its unraveling. Guess ill have to get a silver bracelet after all. This is becoming more trouble than its worth! :( hopefully ill change my mind when I eventually get a proper bracelet with clips etc.

Look on eBay for some tiny rubber O rings.Works a treat on mine! Or get a couple of pandora clips with the pandora rubber bits to go underneath. :)

I looked at the rings before and I wasn't sure how they work. Do they fit inside the bead and stop it from going from section to section. Or do you need clips to make them work? I hope they don't just go on the bracelet as is and end up being visible...as if they were a rubber charm / bead.

My first bracelet started in October
