Nice start....are you going slow? Are you thinking of adding muranos or enamel?

Can any of you who have the double leather bracelet help me figure out how to make the beads stay in one place? They keep rolling around the bracelet. Will the clips work on the leather bracelet? I may end up returning the darn thing if I can't solve the problem.

Thanks, I was thinking of adding some pink muranos, but I'm still not to sure yet. I'm trying to go slow, but it seems like last month I was in the Pandora store everyday! :p

Nice.....the pink muranos are nice almost a neutral. Have fun!!!!

Use the small hair elastics, tie a tight knot and then roll the bead over it to hold its spot. I like the rolling dangle bead but I like the traditional beads in a fixed spot. I got my elastics at Sally's Beauty Supply over the weekend.

You did a great job fixing the problem, Using Daddy's. I would have had a heart attack if that had happened to me. Thank you for warning me about it. I have two of the same oxidized beads as you.

Which one's?
I love those beads I have two of each for balancing on my lariat, leather necklace or my leather bracelets. ;)

I thought I read on here that we should not put elastic next to silver. I suppose it might not matter so much on a leather bracelet. The only silver it would be touching is the inside of the bead. Right?

I've never heard of this before. What's the dangers of elastic touching silver? I can't imagine it would be a comfortable long term solution. Does anyone do this now?

The elastics were a solution for the problem of the beads rolling around opn the leather bracelet, which has no stops on it. The tiny hair elastics are placed onto the leather bracelet and then the bead sits on top of the tiny knot that results.

As I understand it, there is potential for the elastic to cause silver to turn black.

I dont recall hearing that. I am sure if it turns the bead black you can polish it off. I use the elastics now and it has been the best tip yet to anchor a bead on the leather bracelet!

Tell me when you have tried it and if it makes you like your leather bracelet more.....I dont want you to give up on it they are really nice!

It says in the pandora book not to store the silver with rubber....due to erosion? I'm not sure of the reason but it does warn not to put rubber next to it....

Supposedly the rubber touching the silver bead would do something to it. Oxidize it? I am not sure.

But when I was googling the matter, I saw that Birk's Jewellers, the prestigious Canadian jeweller, sells a necklace that is a silver pendant on a rubber cord. So it can't be too serious, whatever happens or Birls would not be offering such a product. I am considerably less worried about it now. :smile1:

Here are my current babies:

The black leather bracelet has already been changed slightly. I added the Love and Hugs bead and I purchased the teapot bead( in honor of my mom, she was from England and LOVED tea).

The red Christmas bracelet just needs the sleigh bead to be complete.
