What does everyone think of the new Vanity bag?

I was so excited to see this new bag from Bottega! I almost pulled the trigger so many times for the (similar) Loro Piana L19, but something kept stopping me. This one is gorgeous in burgundy intrecciato leather, it’s leather-lined, and it’s now available for preorder ($2200USD). I’m tempted because for sure the price will only go up from here.

So far, I think black and burgundy. I’m sure eventually, they’ll bring it out in all their gorgeous colors. I preordered it!!

It looks like a $2200 toiletry bag to me. Would be very impractical to open and fit things inside as well. That would be a hard pass from me.

I think it looks more practical than the L19 or Extra bag tbh.

... on those bags, the zip doesn't go the full way around, so you have to jam your hand in to get your items out.

Dig this one a lot, since it appears to fully open for easier access... but I'm also a sucker for BV's Barolo red, hehe.

I agree! The rich dark red is so luxurious. I can’t wait to receive and report on this bag!

Me too. Something always stopped me. It never quite seemed worth the price. But this one has so much more workmanship and character, I think…

I have the Extra bag and it's good, but not great - mainly because it's winter right now, and cold & chapped hands scraping against the zipper doesn't really mix well.

Very curious about this one though!

I ended up canceling the preorder because I did some major damage at Hermes!! But it does look beautiful. I think it will be pretty popular.
