I have been so busy I still haven't managed to get my diamond reset. What do you think of this Tacori setting? The center stone would be about 1.25 carats, D color round brilliant... if you don't like it, please make suggestions :)

It's beautiful. For me, the silhoutte (sp?) is too high and I would be afraid of smacking it into too many things. However, I prefer the head of the ring holding the center diamond to be low set. That is not everyone's taste for sure though......

I actually think it's perfect or could be higher! I don't care for low-set stones. It makes the stone look "smaller" since it's so squat. I like to see the culet from the side.

I love it! :) I love that the diamond is set high, it makes it look so much nicer w/a wedding band. I have a Tacori e-ring that has a similar profile and I love it! It showcases the diamond so nicely.

very pretty. The halo isn't overwhelming which is what I prefer.

True that at present, Halos are a huge trend. It's one of the reasons I haven't jumped on the halo bandwagon. I had to really think long and hard about this one........and it was painful as I'm not one who can decide easily. Thankfully, my DH did NOT end up in a psych ward

I love it! Halos are actually an antique style that recently had a resurgence in popularity so, while they are trendy right now, I still consider them a classic style. And honestly, while I see dozens of them every day online via pricescope, etc., I am hard pressed to see very many in my day to day life.

I really love halo rings with plain shanks! But that's because I don't like the feel of pave between my fingers, lol, it bugs me and ever since I switched to a setting with a nice plain shank, I've never turned back!

the halo is a good size in comparison to the center stone. i personally don't prefer high settings myself, but in general, i would admire this if i saw it worn on somebody's finger. it's pretty!

I have tried on that ring. It is beautiful. Try it on for yourself and see how it looks on your hand. I agree with Erica. Halos have been around for a very long time. I have one myself; however, I see very few women wearing them around their diamonds, in my area. I do see them on colored stones.

Does anyone know if this would sit flush against a plain wedding band? (I live pretty far from the store so I am trying to decide as best I can before making the drive out)

I agree, it's classic :yes: I hope no one thought I was implying that it's purely trendy{?}
It's beautiful and it's classic. . . but it's "common" in my area right now, that's all :smile1:

It's the same here. Most of the women around my age (26) that I've met have halos on their e-rings. I don't think it looks bad, but when it's so common in your area it kind of loses it's appeal. Every jeweler makes a point of pushing the halo since it makes the stone look bigger and that's all I can think of when I see them, since that talking point was repeated so many times!

I do absolutely love halos around fancy shapes, because it really shows off the shape of the center stone. And I love halos around colored stones too!
